Heaven's Best Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

Excellent. Furniture pieces looked like new after Marty cleaned them.

When I called to get an estimate and set a time for the service Marty was able to give me a estimate from the description of the work with the approximate room measurement I provided. On the day of our appointment hey called to make sure it was alright to arrive 40 minutes early. The cleaning went very well, they were prompt, courteous, friendly, and hard working. We have a light colored carpet in the living room and hallway and there were several bad dark stains that we had tried to get up with over-the-counter products with no success. Every one of the stains was removed during their cleaning. Throughout the process they asked for feedback on the results to make sure we were satisfied and the actual cost was $50.00 less than what was quoted on the phone. I would highly recommend Heaven's Best Carpet Cleaning, great people, great job, and they are a locally owned husband and wife business.

We have used Heaven's Best a number of times over the years. Does a great job. Is friendly and punctual. Prices have always been good. Caret dries quickly never left soaking wet.

Marty promptly replied for my quote reqest. He was able to schedule for the following week and was very respectful of my work schedule. He arrived on time and did a fantastic cleaning job. My previously grayed carpet looks almost new, smells great. I felt the pricing was very fair. Overall, this was a great experience. Marty is very professional and does a great job at a very reasonable price. I consider this work a great value and will hire again.

They were very professional and did a great job, but they were much more expensive than Previous carpet cleaners who charged less. To clean the sectional and couch alone it was $275.

Marty arrived early and was very nice! He got right to work and gave me updates along the way. It took him about 1.5 hours to clean 500 sq ft and the carpets looked great when he was done. My only issue was that some of the stains weren't totally gone, just faded. But, they were pet urine stains that had been there a while, so I think that's to be expected. He did make them drastically lighter in color, though. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely be calling him again!

Marty did a great job! He was there right on the dot, just like he promised. The carpet looked so much better than I thought it could, given the previous owner's animals and our own (there were some pretty heavy pet stains). The stains were lifted and the carpet looks great. We'll be calling him soon for our downstairs! I thought it was a bargain for the quality of the work that was performed.

My carpets had been cleaned last winter by another provider and the stains came back up after a week. This provider took care of everything I needed and the stains are still gone. I would have no problem using this provider again and would recommend him to every one

Carpets were cleaned very well (he used a pretreat for pet stains) and finished services on time (as well as his arrival time). The carpets were not soaked (as with steam cleaning and other "spray cleaners"). The service was very professional and was completed as promised, even with my interruptions. The dry time was very fast (without having to set fans up) and when I checked the phone book (before making any calls to any carpet cleaning businesses for opinions, etc.) this was the only carpet cleaning business with an approval from the Better Business Bureau. I would not hesitate to call them again for any offered service. I can not recall the date or the amount I spent, but if the expense had been more than I considered fair and reasonable, I would remember it.

Marty stopped by to pick up the rug. He was timely, but didn't call first like he said he would. I brought the rug out into the driveway so we could discuss the level of dirt and the staining to make sure he could do the job. We looked at it together and he said it shouldn't be an issue, he thought he could get most if not all the staining out and he would use his processes to get the dust out too. He said he'd call the next day and schedule drop off for that morning. The next morning came, and he called to say he didn't get to the rug - it would be another day. The next day he did deliver the rug. We unrolled the rug and looked at it together. The staining was lighter, but still noticeable. Marty suggested that if we had a pressure washer we could take the rug out on our deck and pressure wash it to get it cleaner. I found that to be an interesting recommendation (to say the least). After he left, I moved the rug and it left a huge pile of dust on my floor! We emailed Marty to explain how disappointed we were with the results, especially given the $75 we paid for this ONE RUG, and asked if he could recommend someone that might specialize in rug cleaning and could get it cleaner. Marty responded, but said he did the best he could and there was nothing more he could do for us. Very, very disappointed.

Great experience. carpets were cleaned without soaking my carpets. They use eco friendly solvent to remove dirt and stains. I had several spots from the dog getting sick that I had not been able to completely remove and they took them out. Carpets were dry that evening. Marty is very nice and would recommend him to anyone that needs their carpet cleaned.

He did what he said he was going to do. He came on time and got it done within the amount of time or less than what he said. He did a good job and my carpets look pretty good. The only thing that was bad was that it took longer for them to dry than what he said, but I kind of expected that anyway. That was the only downfall, but it's not really a big deal to me.

I chose this company based upon other reviews, and based upon the feedback of others on pet/urine stains, the clean citrus smell, and that the owner had pets as well, and was well-versed in dealing with these situations. I needed a bedroom, living room and stairs cleaned, and I had one spot in the corner of my living room in which one of my cats had peed at one time, and I just needed to get the smell out, even though that spot has not been a recurring problem with my cats. In my daughter's bedroom, there were multiple stains from cat throw-up spots, as well as a few areas where my daughter had spilled or gotten some make-up on the floor. I thought I had asked plenty of questions ahead of time, including the process of the cleaning. Marty was very personable, and very, very good to work with, very prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. When I asked specific questions on the process, Marty did explain that he did not use a hot water extraction process, it was a low-moisture process, but for areas that needed special attention, he did use a smaller machine which did a water extraction. The day that Marty came, I was working in my home office, so did not get a chance to watch the process, as I was pretty busy all morning; however, when I heard him cleaning the stairs, I did poke my head out. The cleaning process consisted of some type of round, vibrating cleaning pad; but there was nothing to extract any dirt from the carpet. I went back to my office, but later wondered how the dirt was actually extracted from the carpet if this was the process that was used? Anyway, when Marty was through cleaning the carpets, I saw him out, and shortly thereafter (maybe 15 min), when I had a break from work, I went into the lower-level, where the carpets had been cleaned, to check out the rooms. I was VERY disappointed. From other reviews, people seemed to rave about the clean citrus smell, but I smelled none of that. My daughter's room still smelled stale, and of dirty laundry, etc; and the same for my living room. I even got down and smelled the carpet, and there was no refreshing clean carpet or citrus smell. Another thing was the stains in my daughter's room (which is a light-to-medium gray carpet). The stains that were previously there were MUCH more pronounced than before. In addition, after the carpets were cleaned, the carpet seam is now visible, when it wasn't before (my home is only 6-1/2 years old), and the high-traffic areas in the room were still dingy and dirty looking. There are no words to describe how absolutely disappointed and sick that I was with the results. A few days later, with the stains in my daughter's room, I bought a can of Woolite Heavy-traffic foam carpet cleaner, and decided to see if I could get the stains out myself. Well, I can tell you that with a single application of Woolite, I was able to remove the stains! I was really quite shocked, because I thought if the stain remover that a professional carpet cleaner applied wouldn't remove a stain, what are the chances that a home carpet stain remover would work! All I could do is just look at the carpet where the stain used to be, just absolutely stunned. As for the spot in my living room, I left it a week to dry and air out, but it still smelled like pet urine, even though Marty uses a special pet enzyme solution to neutralize the odors. (he did say that sometimes it takes a few applications). Well, I called Marty a few weeks later to express my disappointment, and had him come back to try again with the spot in the living room 2 weeks later; that was about 3 weeks ago, and the spot still smells. I have had stunning results in the past with using Nature's Miracle, so I guess my only option at this point is to: 1) buy some Nature's Miracle to saturate the spot; 2) hire another professional carpet cleaner; 3) rent a cleaner to do it myself; all with the hopes of better results than what I received from Heaven's Best. I will also say, that when I called Marty and told him how unhappy I was, he did seem genuinely taken aback that I was so disappointed, and asked if I wanted my money back. However, I expressed to him that I didn't call with the expectations of a refund, as I understand he is trying to make a living, and with my living quite a ways out, etc, that just was not my intention. I just thought it was only fair that he know my displeasure with the quality of the job that was performed. Bottom line - I would not recommend Heaven's Best, as my experience with this process was not a positive one. Update 5/8/2013 - I rented a Rug Doctor to clean these 2 rooms on 5/4/2013. The bedroom has been empty and unused since it was cleaned by Heaven's Best, and the family room is rarely ever used. I have attached a few pictures of what the water looked like, consistently, when dumping the dirty water from the recovery tank of the Rug Doctor. I'm not sure if the pictures are as good as what I saw in person, but I think it gives you a fairly good idea of how dirty the carpets were after having them professionally cleaned.

Wonderful service! Marty was great to work with. He measured my house and gave me an estimate and stuck to it! He got stains out and made my carpets look new! My couches and ottoman looked new once he was done and they had been very stained. He gave me free spot cleaner and went above and beyond what I expected. I look forward to working with him again. He didn't charge me per room, he did his charges according to sq footage, excluding closets which was very generous!

The whole process was very quick, professional and high quality. I called Marty for an estimate, we met the next day and the day after that he was 'digging' into that carpet.

We have pets and of course with that goes the intermittent peeing and vomiting issues. Heaven's best owner has cats and is very good at getting rid of pet problems! I clean upholstery and carpet annually to biannually and this is the best cleaning I have had in the 8 years I have been doing it since moving to Cedar Rapids! My furniture looks brand new! I had used Heaven's Best in the past and wasn't thrilled with them, but they had a great rating on Angie's List so I decided to give them a try again. They have had a new owner since the last time I used them and Marty Roberts (the new owner) was excellent!

I wasn't there when the carpet was cleaned. My daughter let him in. She was impressed and commented on how nice he was. He even helped carry in 2 heavy boxes that came just as he was arriving. Very good experience!!
