+ -1 moreA family business. The mother, Heather, is the receptionist and delightful to work with. Their son, Blake, came out to check for bed bugs and was upfront and honest...none were found. He also gave tips for getting rid of suspected mites on dog beds, etc. Very, very helpful! Do not know if we will be billed for the inspection but I do not think so.

+ -1 moreI was on there phone for 20 minutes with a lovely woman who sold me on committing to their service for a year. She spoke highly about their promptness and I scheduled the service. They failed to show or answer their phone several days in a row.

+ -1 moreThere were spiders in the basement and wasps outside. The guy came and said they were going to spray outside and inside and said that would get rid of them. There were still wasps for a while so they came back and re-sprayed which got rid of them.

+ -1 moreHe was a great guy who answered ALL of my many questions about the how toxic the chemicals are, plus, due to my extreme phobia of spiders, lots of silly questions were put to him and he took them all very seriously. I will stay with them for as long as I live in this house.
Description of Work: He sprayed my basement and foundation for spiders and comes back twice a year to do the same. There's a discount to have it sprayed on a regular basis.

+ -1 moreI saw VERY large spider in my basement and looked on Angie's List for pest control. Phoning Heartland was very worthwhile. They explained why I was seeing such large spiders this fall and told me exactly what they would do. The guy came over within two days (my schedule conflicted with the next day). He put me at ease and didn't treat me as an idiot for being so frightened and answered all of my silly questions. Within a half hour all was spayed and I was signed up for spraying every six months. Now I can go into my basement.

+ -1 moreA Heartland technician came over and, after close inspection, said he didn't know exactly what caused the holes but it wasn't insects. It didn't seem to be birds going after insects either. After he left I patched the holes. I will call Heartland if I ever have a problem the future.

Description of Work: I has them come and spray the perimeter of our house for wasps, as we had multiple wasp nests around our porch and under our roof. The only reason I gave them a "B" at all is because they were initially hard to get ahold of. I needed to make a few phone calls before I got a response... This appeared to be because everyone was "out in the field" during a busy part of their season and no one had been available to return office calls for several business days. |One the appointment was scheduled, however, I was very pleased with their services. They sprayed for the wasps as well as spiders and a few other insects that were deterred by the same substance. They assured me that the treatment they used was Eco-friendly (as far as chemical pest control can be) and that my two cats would not need to be locked up, as it was pet-friendly too. |They were very prompt and even found a few wasp nests I was unaware of. Within 24 hours of being treated my house was virtually pest free and I really hadn't noticed any bugs or spiders returning until nearly spring-time. |I was very pleased with them. I'll just be sure to allow additional time to set up the appointment next time.

+ -1 moreHeartland is great! I wrote this review now because I just joined Angie's list. I did not see any spiders all winter and spring. So far this year I have seen 3 which is mild compared to last year. I'm seeing a few webs, so I'm ready to call Heartland back for another fall spraying.

He seamed thorough enough, although I'm not sure what he should have done since this was my first pest control experience. I am writing this 9 months later, and still don't have any pests, so he must have done something right! All chemicals he used were pet and kid friendly. Next time I have pests, Heartland will be on the top of my list.
