About us

Designing Moves LLC is a senior move management company with 8 employees and growing. We help our clients sort what to move, find resources for liquidating items not moving, coordinate shipping items to family/friends, pack, over see movers, unpack and provide followup care. A successful move requires attention to detail, we help clients with floor plans to assure their items will fit, we work with other trusted companies to help with repairs or additional services needed to meet deadlines, provide design assistance with new home and former home, etc. We can give you an estimate of costs and require 1/2 down and signed contract to proceed with your project. We prefer to bill weekly.

Services we offer

For seniors/young retirees. Sorting, packing, unpacking. We work with a separate company for moving. We have developed a good relationship with our movers, who provide a discount to our clients. Our movers enjoy working with us because they know that our clients will be ready for the move, they know our system and we have the same expectations - to move the client effectively and efficiently with respect. Planning ahead reduces the indecision and wasted time.

We have partnered with a vetted moving company for 5 years. The movers provide local and out of state moving, they load/unload the trucks, drive to move locations, pack items over $500 in value. We have vetted resources for Estate Sales, buyers, auction, home repairs, shipping, and realtors. These companies offer discounts to our clients.

Would not know what to have done without Christine's help when my brother's medical issues arose. I was working in another city and could not deal with his house at the time. They professionally handled every aspect. They communicated with my brother with compassion and respect and made sure his needs were carried out. This is an incredibly rare combination. Really there was nothing they couldn't handle. It was a major relief to have all these details handled for me so I could work and see to my brother. They also helped me pack and move so no job too small.
Description of Work: Completely took care of inventory, sorting, packing, moving, disposal, recycling and selling of entire contents of house. Repaired vehicles and took care of sales.
