Went realy well in an out just like they said. Only problem was with the electrical company not Dependable Electric

They never bothered to return my call.

No work was needed but Dan Oakley responded quickly. Talked on the phone. No work was needed.

Dans Affordable Electric was stellar! They did a fantastic job and we would hire them again for our next project. Dependable, reliable, professional and very polite!!

Called on a Monday, set up an appointment for Wednesday and asked - due to other reviews on Angie's list - if he would just let me know if another job comes up or he can't make it. I was assured that once a job was on the calendar they wouldn't miss it. Sure enough, no call no show day of. It was just a few new outlets put in, possibly a cieling fan. If the job is not worth the time just say so. Did I call back to express my concern? No. Why waste more of my time.

Rewired the light and fan to separate switches. Went up in the attic to run new wiring. Checked for proper exhaust of both bathroom fans. Haven't got a bill yet.

Great, work was completed when they said it would be, on budget and great to work with, we have used them since and are our first call with anything electric.

He was very anxious in the beginning to get our business, but when he learned that it was just a repair to a ceiling fan, he didn't get back to me until the end of the week stating the urgency of another job. He said he would call the next week and never did.

Wonderfully. Not only would I hire them again, they would be the only electrical contractor I would hire if I would need one in the future. I received 2 other bids and both included discussions of how much drywall would need to be removed and that they would have to work around air ducts. With Dependable, no drywall removal and installation of special fixtures designed not to have to recede into the ceiling, so as to go underneath airducts. Also, at one half the price of one of the estimates. They know what they're doing and they did it well!

We found the workmanship and professionalism to be excellent. I especially appreciated their responsiveness in communicating with me. They were punctual, and well priced. The two individuals with whom I dealt were well organized and pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend them based on my experience.

We contacted Dependable Electric to give us a quote on some simple outlet and breakers, that we needed done quickly as we were selling our house and had minimal time to get fixes done before closing. When talking to Jerry on the phone, he sounded very nice and professional and understood the importance and need to get the work done quickly. He said he could come out that next business day and have the work done by the end of the week. Jerry came out and looked at what we needed, and said he would have a quote to us that day or the next. 3 days later we still hadn't received anything, so we called Jerry once again asking about the quote. And again he said he would have the quote to us that day or the next. And now 1 1/2 weeks after, we still have never heard back from Jerry. No quote, no "we got busy", no "not interested", no "we can't do the work as quickly as you need it", nothing! Jerry had both of our phone numbers and my husbands email, there is no reason why he couldn't of answered us as he stated he would. Very unprofessional. We would of appreciated a response back.

After looking at the reviews on this site I called Dependable to give me a quote on several jobs I needed done at my house. The electrician came to my house at the scheduled time and I went over all the jobs that I needed done. I have several fixtures I wanted to change and add some new lights to other areas in the house. The electrician and I spoke for several minutes about options and ideas that he had to improve on the ideas that I had. In addition, we had a long conversation about contractors agreeing to meet with clients and then not showing up or simply not following through with things. I felt like this was going to be a good match and I was looking forward to working together. Sadly he never sent the bid or called. I left a few messages but never heard back.

They had put in some under cabinet lighting for me, and I had an issue, which they were able to come out and repair at no charge. They're great about following up with you, and working around your schedule. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Met the technician at the house. He was detailed and informative. The written estimate was received in a few days. This was provided to the buyer of the home for follow-up.

Jerry was very professional. There was some timing issues, but he went out of his way to make things right. Everything looks and works great.

It went GREAT! The gentleman worked HARD all day on a very warm day. He had to go into my attic and he had to enter into the crawl space to do some of the work. He took his shoes off in the house (carpet), he checked with me several times throughout the day to be sure he was doing the work as I wanted from placement of the lights in the soffits to the bathroom fan selection. With a co-worker coming toward the end of the day to help finish the job was done in one day which I appreciated.

The technicians arrived as scheduled. They worked effeciently, maintained a clean jobsite, and made sure they kept the carpet clean when inside. The work was completed in a timley fashion, and the billing statement replecated their original bid. I have used them again this month for additional work. Mike

Excellent customer service! Thorough inspection and full disclosure about potential scope of project. Very personable and took time to explain project. Will be using this company this summer to complete the project!

We were real happy with them. They came promptly and did the work. We thought the price was reasonable. We would recommend them to others.

Hired Dependable Electric to run a new 220v circuit out to the garage and wire a 220v 3-wire plug to a garage heater. Everything went well. Jerry came out and gave me an estimate, and walked me through everything that was being taken in to account (where the lines would run, new breaker in the box, receptacle location, applicable electrical codes, etc.) They got my scheduled for just over a week after the estimate. The installer did a great job. He was friendly and professional. He got done in the time that was estimated.

There seemed to a lot of coming and going. Only thing I was not happy with was the way they plugged a hole in the basement wall where the old service came in with fiberglass insulation. One of the guys came out to take care of a few old wires left. I mentioned the insulation and he suggested I get some foam insulation. He was not the electrician who put the service in. It was nice to have the Angie's list discount.

They arrived early and worked all day. They did a very neat job and everything works great!

Install several outside GFI outlets in bad weather

Left message but they never called us back. Were disappointed as read good things about them on Angie's List. UPDATE: Received a letter about 2 weeks after our phone message, from the company owner, Jerry along with a gift card as an apology. Which was very very kind. Apparently he did not get our phone message. Called to see if they could install the porch light. They had a quick opening the next day that we took. Was very pleasantly surprised as thought we would have to wait awhile as I know everybody is busy. A gentleman came out the next day at the scheduled time and installed our light. He was very very friendly, knew what he was doing and got the job done in no time. All of the above helps restore my faith that there are still a few good business out there that are honest and care about the quality of their work.
