This was one of those contractor experiences that give contractors a bad reputation. After going over my expectations of job, and communication and promptness in our dealings (I live 25 minutes from the property that was to be worked on), the contractor was in full agreement, and we set a date. The day before the date (a holiday) the contractor said they had a mechanical failure on the equipment and would not be able to make it. I called him to reschedule. We worked out that they would be there the following morning at 8am. I re-scheduled my day and took time off work to meet them. I got there at 7:50am, and called to see where they were at, at 8:15am, and again at 8:35am only to get voice mail. At 9:15am I received a phone call saying their equipment was still broke down, but it would be fixed shortly and they would be able to get the job done that afternoon. I returned late afternoon to find that nobody had been there. I received no phone calls telling me of a change of plans. I received a voice message the following afternoon that they were there waiting for me! I returned the call to find out they had gone in (I had given them permission for earlier in the week), decided not to do the work because the crew was not informed of the "removal" of the old insulation, and that it had some mold ( No kidding it's an old basement crawl space!!!), so they left without doing the work. After I spoke with the "crew chief", I received a phone call from the original guy I had dealt with. He said we never discussed removal. That was the main point of hiring it done! I think this was a method for trying to squeeze more money from a customer. Well enough was enough, I politely told him we should part ways at this point, before this gets any more messy. I just love accountable, honest people.

The job was huge, and they were awesome. The price was good and the work was done very well. They were professional about it. I would rate them highly. I am actually using them on another property also.
