Description of Work: Mudjacked our front steps and driveway.

Description of Work: Classic Concrete installed a retaining wall to the specifications and did a great job. My complaints were that they did not get a permit, as they should have and the project lasted about two months longer than it should have due to the city getting involved and the red tape it created. I specifically asked them if we needed a building permit and was told no, since it would be less than four feet tall. As it turned out, they were building on an easement and had to stop half way through and could not complete it until all utilities signed off a waiver. Also, the estimate vs actual bill that I got were far apart. Granted, there were other items that I asked for them to do and expected a higher bill, but when they re-tallied it, they re-taxed me on the original total. When I brought this to their attention, they simply re-calculated the total bill a different way until they got their numbers to what the original cost was. These guys know how to lay block and install a wall to not fail, it's the paperwork aspect of the job that needs improvement.
