CASTLE CHIMNEY SWEEPS

Went well, no mess at all, very courteous and careful and clean though the thing hasn't been cleaned in years.

tHE ORIGINAL SERVICE WAS VERY SATISFACTORY BUT I REQUESTED AN ESTIMATE FOR THE ADDITIONAL WORK THE EMPLOYEE HAD SUGGESTED, HE SAID IT WOULD TAKE A LITTLE TIME TO GET THAT BACK TO ME, WHICH IT DID, BUT WHEN THE OWNER SENT ME THE ESTIMATE ITWAS FOR ABOUT TWICE AS MUCH WORK AS THE ORIGINAL PARTY HAD SUGGESTED WE NEEDED AND WHEN I CALLED THE OWNER TO DISCUSS IT HE SEEMED PRETTY UNINTERESTED BUT SAID HE WOULD SHARPEN HIS PENCIL AND GET BACK TO ME THE NEXT NIGHT, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN IN OCTOBER AND I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM HIM

Brian gave me an estimate and his service was exactly what he estimated. He cleaned our four year old chimney and inspected it. He left several brochures to explain what type of wood to use (we are new home owners) and how to care for our chimney and recommended that we get it cleaned each year. He explained what kreosote was and the damage it can cause and recommended products to reduce any build up. I could not believe that there wasn't any mess when he left and the fireplace doors were sparkling.

They were responsive to an email request, came out to give us an estimate promptly and worked us quickly into their schedule. The only thing was that, although he promised to keep it clean, he probably thought there was no need since we were having drywalling done in the vicinity as well (in an open floorplan adjoining room). Unfortunately there was dust everywhere, including the upper level which had just had new flooring installed and where we were living while renovations were being done. The quality of the actual work done seemed to be very good. The chimney inspection was very thorough, and gave us lots of peace-of-mind.
