A previous reviewer stated "Rude and owner twists people's words." We patiently waited 16.5 weeks for a door that was promised to us in 8-10, that was promised to us would be "totally void of any texture," that was ordered in matte black, and that we made clear we absolutely needed to get through winter, as we will be fabricating cabinetry and cutting tile, etc, in the garage all winter- the door we have is old, uninsulated and literally falling off of the hinges. Without a new, insulated and properly sealing door, we cannot insulate or heat the garage. We made this abundantly clear, even called to verify the R value rating again two weeks ago before buying insulation. The photo in the text thread below, which the salesman verified multiple times was without texture, is exactly the door we ordered. Today the installers arrived with exactly what we specifically said we did not want- a fully textured door in gloss black. They also arrived without the right sized, low clearance rails needed. Owner refused to take any responsibility, in spite of knowing we have the original text thread with the salesman. The salesman even took credit for the mistake over the phone, but the owner literally failed to even apologize. He refused to install the door to get us through winter while we work something out. He did not offer any concession whatsoever. Just ordered his installers to pack up and leave. So all of the product we've ordered for our renovations, and all of the renovation plans we had for the entire 4 months of cold weather are now on ice...literally...and Jim the owner refused to make it right or to express even the smallest bit of remorse. When I reminded him of how severely this would be affecting us his response was "you have a door that opens and closes." Installers were nice kids- we even helped them pack up the door panels before they left. Accidents happen, and if there had been even the slightest bit of grace in accepting responsibility we wouldn't be posting this. But between the owner and the salesman, we'll never use or recommend them again. Our winter plans are shot and they don't even pretend to care. We've had to hire a lawyer to get our deposit back...on a door that he refused to install.

Adams last replaced a torsion spring for us in February 2015. It broke this morning. Called at 9:45 a.m. They were there two hours later and done by 12:15 p.m. with a new, stronger torsion spring. They were done faster and cheaper than we expected!

Went well. They identified a problem that saved me a lot of money.

I called and talked with Jim and set an appointment to have them come over and replace the torsion springs on our garage door. I asked how much it would cost me, he said from 260-275.00 but no more than that. Well, they sent Taylor to measure the springs who told my fiance that he did not know how to use a measuring tape, so they could not fix it on the appointment date given that they could not get the right torsion springs to install to be brought over. They clamped it and said they will be back next day first thing in the morning to complete the work. Well, they did not show up until Monday given that there is an ego maniac at the office who stated that she was the one who schedules their work. On Monday, they finally showed up and fixed the door and tried to bill us $375.00 for something that was already contracted for 275.00 Max. I talk to the lady who had ego problems and she said she will have to talk with Jim. I told her, I will send my payment for what it was contracted and did so. Fishy people! They had not idea they were dealing with a Civil Engineer who owned a garage door repair company for over 25 years.

Timely, same day service before a snow storm to help fix the weather seals on the garage door to keep out the wind and snow. Determined a simple fix with screws was needed, applied fix and a bit of grease to the door for us. Very personable and did not try to upscale any item.

I've used Adams Door in the past for service work and have always been pleased, so I called them when I needed a new door and opener. Once I received my initial estimate, It took a couple weeks of back and forth to get the door options finalized and to receive updated pricing. On a couple occasions, I had to follow-up several times to get answers to questions. On the day of install, the technicians arrived on time (exactly) and within 2 hours had demoed the old door, installed and adjusted the new door and opener, cleaned up all debris, and coached me on door operation and maintenance. I'm very happy with the door and install.

Came when they said. The guy was quick and did a great job.

They were absolutely great! and I referred my boss to them when he had the same problem with his glass door.

It was good. It was a little slower response time with the sales department. When they finally got back to us, they did explain that they were shorthanded due to a loss of staff, but once we talked to them, everything went great. The service crew was super quick and responded very quickly.

I've used Adams in the past and will use them again. Technician arrived within an hour of my call. Quickly diagnosed issue and made the repairs. He also took the time to explain some installation issues with my door that contributed to the hinges breaking. Since I've been considering a new door, he also took the time to explain the features and construction of the doors/openers they carry and provided me a rough estimate so I could consider a future replacement. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable.

Very responsive. Called at 8am...technician arrived at 820am. Technician was very friendly and worked quickly. My door installation is not exactly "textbook" due to space limitations in my garage, so it took some tinkering to get it working properly. After he left, I noticed that adjustments the technician made had caused the center track to become misaligned. I called the company and they immediately patched me through to the technician who said he would return later in the day. A couple hours later, he returned as promised and made additional adjustments and the door is now working as it should.

Good price for quality door (and installation, removal of old door). They came when they said they would, worked quickly, re-attached old opener, rechecked opener / door for proper operation. Installer went over a few things I could do to make the door last longer. I did find a few very small left over pieces in the garage afterwards (would not have punctured tires; nor were the pieces dangerous). Garage door works great; very quiet compared to old door. This was a steel insulated door. Door looks nice; wife pleased.

They got me an appointment very quickly, showed up on time, worked quickly, explained the problem and were on their way. I was expecting a bill over $100 so when they said $60 and my garage was fixed completely, I was elated. I highly reccomend these guys. If anything else should happen to my door, I will be calling them back.

The technicians had to return once before successfully resolving the problem, but everything was fine aside from that. The technicians arrived promptly for each visit, acted courteously, and ultimately resolved the problem to my satisfaction. The owner even came out on the first visit which I liked too.

We have an oversized garage door, and every 3+ years the spring breaks because of the extra heaviness of the door. The owner of the company came out as it was after hours and everyone else had left for the day. He missed his child's game to fix our garage door. His service was prompt and well done. I would highly recommend Adams Door to anyone. We used to work with other garage door vendors in the area, and now only work with Adams.

Adams Door provided excellent service. We had a bit of a hiccup scheduling the estimate but it was quickly worked out. The estimate was quick and the price was reasonable. They did not try to up-sell us on anything. We scheduled the service for the following week. Two installers came out around noon and were done around 2 p.m. They replaced a very old garage door and opener, took away the old stuff, and left it clean and ready to go. I'm quite happy with the service. The door seems to work well.

Within 5 minutes of arrival, Jim had the main door working again. Jim then proceeded to perform routine maintenance on the main door and the utility door. All the while, Jim made the effort to educate me in performing regular maintenance on the door myself. Jim re-tensioned and stretched the torsion springs on both doors. I now have doors that open quietly and smoothly. The cost, which included a trip charge, was much less than I anticipated. I will definitely be using Adams Doors in the future and recommending them to others.

We called a few people to fix the springs on the garage door. Adam's provided a fair quote and scheduled us in a few days. They arrived on time, explained the problem and completed their work professionally. Overall, we had a very positive experience with Adam's.

The technician replaced both garage door torsion springs in about 20 minutes. He was very professional and courtious.

SALES REP CAME AND MEASURED DOOR, SHOWED ME DIFFERENT STYLES, PRICES, OPTIONS (WINDOWS),COLORS, ETC. I CHOSE A DOOR AND HE ORDERED IT. SAID BE ABOUT 2 WEEKS. DOOR CAME IN ON TIME, COMPANY CALLED TO SET UP APT. TO INSTALL. INSTALLER CAME AND REMOVED OLD DOOR AND INSTALLED NEW ONE. WHEN HE WAS ABOUT FINISHED, I INQUIRED ABOUT THE WINDOWS, WHICH THIS DOOR DID NOT HAVE. HE IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE OFFICE AND THEY DISCOVERED HIS ORDER FAILED TO MENTION THE WINDOWS, AND ACKNOWLEDGED IT WAS THEIR ERROR. HE FINISHED THE DOOR AND SAID HE WOULD RETURN TO INSTALL THE CORRECT PANEL (WITH WINDOWS). THAT EVENING THE SALES REP CALLED AND APOLOGIZED AND SAID THE INSTALLER WOULD BE OUT THE NEXT DAY AND CHANGE THE PANEL, WHICH HE DID. THEY WERE QUICK TO CORRECT THEIR ERROR AND I`M VERY PLEASED WITH THE DOOR.

My garage door torsion spring broke on a Sunday. Fortunately my car was outside the garage so it was not an emergency. I left a message on Adams phone - their message said they would call Monday morning. I didn't get a call Monday morning so I called them (this is the only bad part of the experience with them). They scheduled me for early afternoon on Monday and called before the serviceman arrived. The repair was done quickly and serviceman was very professional. I did not compare prices, but their price seemed very reasonable.

Our garage door opener failed to pereform during the Christmas weekend. My wife put a note into Adams Door via the website. Promptly on Christmas Eve the office called and told us that help would be out in the morning. Not too long afterwards the van pulled in and with a couple of diagnostic questons the problem was diagnosed. Parts were in the van and in an hour the opener was working perfectly. In conversation I discovered that to cover the needs during the holidays the owner was the one doing the service. He was a joy to work with - and the price for the full job was very reasonable. It's the second time I have had Adams Door do work for me. If any further issues would arise they will be the ones I will call.

He was quick and new exactly what it was.
