IMO... Very shotty work.. leaking windows, mushrooms growing in window sills, Gaps in flooring, drywall looks like a 3 year old did it. Will not return calls let alone fix the issues.

Magee was the lowest of 3 bids. Magee crew was amazing! Workers brought all supplies on the morning of the job. In less than 6 hours, they had stripped the old roof and replaced with the new. They used tarps to catch the debris and when the job was done, gleaned the ground around perimeter of the house to pick up any stray debris. Our yard is CLEAN! Since the crew brought everything the morning of the work, we never had to put up with a dumpster or stack of roofing supplies in our yard or driveway. The roof looks great! This is the 3rd time Magee has done work for us...they have been consistently good each time.

I called on Monday after losing several shingles in a rain storm, and was told there were a couple of calls ahead of mine. I asked what I should do in the meantime and was told not to try to put a tarp on the roof and simply wait for their repair. I checked back with Magee on Tuesday and was told they might be able to make it out yet that day. I heard nothing more and called to check again on Friday. The workman phoned me back and told me he was very busy and could probably be able to make it the next Monday. He thought that I should have put a tarp on the roof in the meantime. I phoned another local company (based on their Anfie's list recommendation), and within four hours they arrived and made the repair.

Very professional: Their strength is on quality of work and thoroughness on moderate to upscale projects. . They are not a lowest price competitor.

We had a minor fire that put us out of the house for awhile and we used them because our insurance uses them. After they were done we had squeaky floors in our bedroom; they did not repair it the same way that it was put together. The insurance company told us that we should only be out of our house for six weeks, but it took them two and a half months. We had purple carpeting and they couldn’t find anything that matched, but we found some in the first place that we looked. They had been searching for two weeks. I know it’s a big company with other projects, but they should have put us at the top of their list because we weren’t able to be in our home. They didn’t match the paint well so there are areas where it looks like shadows. The insurance company had to put us up in a motel for an extra four weeks. No one would give us answers and I wouldn’t trust them as far as I can throw them. No way would I use them again.

I wanted a estimate from them for damage to my house during a wind storm when a tree fell on the house. I was dealing with Matt who met me on time and told me he would have an estimate for me in a week. A few weeks went by and I never got an estimate from him. I contacted him and said he had though he had called me and told me that he talked to the city inspector who told him the building would need to be brought up to code. I still told him I would still like to get a quote from him. I told him my insurance needed it. He said he would fax the quote to them. I gave him my claim number and contact for them. He said he would call them. In the mean time the insurance cut me a check as to what they though the repairs would be. It was a month later when I contacted my insurance to see what the hold up was on the reconciliation. They told me they never were contacted by Magee Construction. I called Matt again and he told me he would call them. I also told him what the check was cut for. He said that was way too low and would "talk to them". Another week went by and I called the insurance again about the reconciliation. Again they said they had not been contacted from Magee Construction. I called Matt and asked him just to send me the estimate and he told me they were not interested in doing the repair work. He told me since I had mentioned in a prior conversion that I might be tearing down the house and build new due to the damage being so extensive. He also told me he would not give me an estimate since McGee Construction was not interested in doing the repair work. I was flabbergasted. They were the only contractor I had contacted since there were suggested by my Insurance agent. Also originally when I had met Matt at the house he told me he was going to give me an estimate in a week. McGee Construction left me out on a limb and I lost months of time. I honestly don't know the quality of work they do as we never got that far. Even if I wasn't going to repair that house. Just tear it down/build new. I still need someone to build a new house for me. But since they would not even to work with me on a estimate for repairs and left me out on a limb. There was no way I would hire them to do the building of a new house or for any other work. This has been a bad experience for me with McGee Construction. On a final note I would have gave them a lot higher grade had I gotten an estimate. But due to the lack of estimate I am grading them with that in mind. I do want to say Matt was nice to me and responded to my calls within a day. But that didn't help me in the long run. I still needed an estimate.

There were already complaints on Angine's list for poor response. I thought I would give them a shot, they said I would have a quote in a couple days and now it s a month later!!

Magee Constuction Co. is either understaffed or just does not care. We never heard back from them. We called and left messages and still never heard back from them.

Estimate was received in July 2010, it is now June 2011 and I am STILL waiting on them to finish what they started. The guttering hasn't been touched, the window hasn't been replaced and the roof has been torn off for a couple of months and no follow up has been done. I have contacted them twice within the last week looking for a date I can expect this completed by, and still have received no phone calls.

No body got back to me with an estimate

The service was provided by a company that was designated by the insurance claim adjuster at a price more than twice that provided by an independent roofing/siding repair company. The work itself was performed by nonpermanent employees due to the excess demand in wake of a major hail storm in the area. It was a disaster from start to finish. Poor tarping led to interior rain-damage; the truck delivering the dumpster for damaged shingles tore out a huge section of front lawn; the sod-replacement sub replaced the damaged lawn with poor sod, the sub for gutters installed them incorrectly and needed to be called back twice, the interior damage required a painting sub that left paint chips in carpets and furniture, broke an expensive family heirloom and required another sub to remove the paint residue, clean furniture and carpets.
