Description of Work: Installed interior waterproofing (drainage tile and sump). They arrived everyday on time, and they cleaned up every day before leaving. They even went so far as to apply concrete to some of the cracks in the basement walls where some water had seeped in during heavy rains. They had never discussed doing that, but I was happy they did it. The only thing they have not done yet is to install the outside drainage line, but that has to wait until spring when the ground can be worked. It was frozen solid at the time they installed the waterproofing. They were also very thorough when they met with me to give me an estimate, letting me know what to expect if I hired them. They were the only one of three vendors I contacted who actually showed up at the time stated for giving me an estimate. I have no problems recommending them to anyone.

Description of Work: They installed a battery back-up for our sump pump. They didn't come at the agreed upon day/time, so I called and they rescheduled. They were very apologetic and the guy was very nice once he came. The work they did was good although they installed a battery that was NOT maintenance free. When I asked about it, they said that is all they install. The final amount of $875 seemed a bit high to me, but it did match the quote they gave me over the phone.

 + -1 moreThis spring I encountered water problems in the basement. Part of the cause was water building up in the driveway right in front of the garage door after a heavy rain. To solve this, a drain was installed outdoors near the lowest point of the concrete drive. Water flows into the drain and through a tube that is buried in the front yard and exits near the front of the property on the other side of the yard. I have noticed a couple of issues with this design. First, during heavy rains (which we did have a time or two after the installation), the water pools between my and my neighbors yard. I believe it is far enough away from the houses to not cause problems, but this still concerns me. I called back and their solution was to put a big rock at the end of the pipe to divert the water flow. Now I have to remember it is there, and try not to hit it when mowing. Second, as the water flows into the drain, sometime the flow is restricted by seeds (hellicopters) and pine needles that have fallen off of nearby trees. The drain clogs unless I am constatnly removing the obstructions. Otherwise, the work was done very efficiently, on time, and professionally.

Description of Work: They broke up the original sidewalk and haul it away. Then, they did the forms and lay the mesh down. The sidewalk was from the side door stoop, around the house to the middle, and to the garage back door. It was widen from 30" to 45".

 + -1 moreIt went well but they excavated by hand and the door was open for long periods of time.
Description of Work: We had a pressure relief system installed on one wall and three feet on the two side walls. A trench was dug in the existing floor with gravel or rock in the bottom with drain tile and a mesh cover. The bottom blocks in the walls had holes drilled to release any water they may come in. They drain in to a sump and then a pump sends the water out a tube to the outside.
