David was wonderful! He was very practical in what he recommended we do and was able to install additional brackets to hold the gutter in his initial visit. He provided advice on what we should do for maintenance and longer-term. I would definitely use Green Valley again and recommend them.

The installers were very skilled and pointed out several things that they could do to improve the gutter situation.

The chimney was done in less than a week other than some painting. The siding encasement was matched up nicely to our original siding. The chimney was attached solidly. The mesh cover was secured with bolts so it won't be flying off anymore. The top of the chimney was painted red which I didn't really care for and they didn't hesitate to go back and get a brown paint for me that looked much better. The roof was done in a day. I would highly recommend this company.

It went very well. David and his partner did a great job.. Even called a few days later to make sure everything was working properly.

Jon was amazing. He helped so much with the insurance company and anything else I had questions or concerns about. They always kept in touch and updated me on when they would be starting the job. During the time they were working on the roof, the crew was professional and cleaned up everything each day.

Very Professional service. Even thought our house is only four years old, i was afraid we wouldnt be able to get the shingles and siding to match. Green Valley got it perfect! As well, they communicated well with us every step of the way and even followed up after to make sure we were satisfied.

Dave from Green Valley put a sealant on the area where an old roof joins a new addition. He did not charge us for this service but asked that we keep an eye on the situation; if the area stays dry, well and good. If we experience any water coming in, we will call Green Valley again because the situation may require a more substantial investment of time and effort. Dave was prompt, professional, and helpful. We are well pleased at this point.

Jake and his crew at Green Valley did a wonderful job installing gutters, soffit, fascia, and siding on my home. I received a thoughtful and competitive quote from Dennis, who listened to understand the work that I wanted to have performed, educated me on available products, and promptly responded to my emails. I then had the pleasure of working with Jake, who made sure the job was done right, as well as on time. Jake kept me updated on when the work would start and provided progress updates as requested. Jake noticed my soffits were lacking vents so he had additional vents added so that air flowed properly. Jake's crew also replaced some rotten boards to ensure the final installed product would last a lifetime. I am completely satisfied with the work performed and the professional crew hauled away all of the junk and left my yard and house looking great.

Pros: The final product looks great. The estimator was very helpful. The office staff was vrry friendly. Cons: Green Valley needs to train their production manager staff on the importance of necessary communication with the customer. I have four examples. The start date of the roofing was delayed without any notification or apology. The gutter replacement work began without notification. My window screens were dropped off on my front porch, without any notification. One day, I came home to find a Green Valley truck parked outside my house. I walked up to the truck to ask if he was here to see me. He said no, and quickly rolled up his window. After these 4 incidents occurred, the office staff did a great job of keeping me informed on everything. After all of the work was completed, I noticed that one of the columns on my front porch is skewed. I'm unsure if this happened during the roof replacement or the gutter replacement, but I know it wasnt like that before the work began. I mentioned it during my final walk through. Timing: I was originally quoted 2 days of work, but it took over a month from beginning to end. This was not a big issue for me, but other customers might expect a reasonable time estimate.

First, I'll start with the positive. My interactions with the employees at Green Valley were pleasant and they did try to address my concerns. Now, to my issues. The major issue was that my roof was not properly vented. I had box vents on my roof, which were supposed to be replaced by ridge vents. A very common procedure. If you are unaware of the process, the holes from the box vents need to be covered/patched, and new cutouts need to be placed into the existing peak of the roof for proper ventilation. Simple, right? Now, if you are looking at getting a new roof you will probably research the roofing companies a bit, however possibly not put as much effort in what actually needs done to your home. Please do so. Not having a properly vented roof can lead to a multitude of problems down the road. AND, the only way I could tell my roof was not done properly, was by climbing up in my attic and checking to see if the old cutouts were patched and the new ridge vent location was cut (which I would hope I wouldn't have to do, but seems to be required now-a-days unfortunately). In my case, a new ridge vent was placed on top of my roof on the outside, so, it appeared there was ventilation, however the actual roof was not cut! In my head, this is a SERIOUS problem. There is really no way this should accidentally happen. ESPECIALLY because their website states that everyone at Green Valley is experienced, and this is what I was told by them as well. Green Valleys website also states they have professional training, and that their work is up to code and "by the book", so that's what I have to go with. When you are a roofer placing the new vents, you can clearly see if the roof has or has not been actually cut. So, placing a new vent over a cutout that doesn't exist, serves ZERO purpose, other than the fact that it looks like the roof is properly vented when viewed from outside. When I called the office, I was told I'd be contacted by the project manager about getting my roof fixed. Issue two, is on communication. When I called, right when the office opened, I was told that the project manager was actually going to be in soon, and that he would give me a call. Would I have been contacted by the project manager eventually? Probably, however in my head, waiting until the end of the day on an improperly installed roof which I was obviously upset about is long enough. However at the end of the day, since I had yet to receive a call back, approximately 4pm, I called the project manager to get a status on my roof. Again, is this a huge deal? In my head, they should have been quick to call me back, and discuss how they would fix my roof. There were also other occasions where I was told my roof would be started/completed/etc., however when work was not started/complete/etc., I would have to call them and get a status update. I understand that situations come up, and don't have a problem with that at all. The problem comes when I am not called to be informed of this. Back to the roof. The roofers did come back out, tear out the ridge cap and vents, and cut an actual ridge vent. After they were done, I once again looked to see if it was done properly. Unfortunately, it was not. The ridge needs cut on both sides of the peak of the roof to be installed properly. At this point I'm not trying to be picky, but I want my roof done CORRECTLY! These are not guidelines/procedures I am making up. A quick google search on the manufactures website clearly states how to properly install their product. Being an Owens Corning "Preferred Contractor" should help to emphasis this. Once again I called and had to have them come back out and redo the vent properly. This time the crew leader came out to do the work, he was not there previously. I am glad he came, as he seemed to be a very skilled roofer and wanted to do the roof properly. So, 3 weeks after I was initially told my roof would be completed, it was finally done. In the end, did I get what I paid for? Yes, a new roof. Did Green Valley do what it needed to do? Well, did they initially put a properly installed roof on in the first place? No. Did they then put a properly installed roof on the 2nd time? No. They did fix it though. So, take that however you will. Regardless, after you get a new roof, please take a look to verify that everything was done properly, that's my advice.

David Hipes of Green Valley roofing has come to our house twice now to look at it. The first time he said it might be a fluke wind and might not happen again. He did not charge us for the visit. Today he came out again and looked for the leak. It appears it may be complicated and expensive to fix. He tried one last possible fix before we have to start pulling shingles. Again, he did not charge us. Maybe the roof is fixed this time and maybe it's not, but no matter what, I will be calling Green Valley roofing for any roofing needs I have in the future. David, and Green Valley, are honest and very quick to respond to issues. You cannot ask for a better company to work with.

From start to finish everything went great and smooth. From picking out the product and styles, to having all the work done, to the final clean up, everything was enjoyable and hassle free. There were a few minor quality issues that I addressed at the end but they were all promptly corrected to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Green Valley to anyone looking to have work done on their home!!!!

Green Valley did a great job! The crews worked through bitter cold temperatures and wind. The job was finished when they said it would be and have handled anything I needed them to take care of. The Project Manager, Greg, has gone above and beyond for me. Even handling problems that belonged solely to the manufacturer. I would, and have recommended Green Valley to anyone looking for such services!

Greg from Green Valley came out and took pictures to show my roof was completely fine and that I had a lot of loose bricks due to mortar that had deteriorated from in between them that needed to be fixed. Was very good to do business with and were honest and didn't try to push and say I needed a roof when I really didn't. Would definitely use when I do need a roof.

Dave Hipes came out on Monday, Feb. 22 to estimate the work. Greg called me on Wed. that Dave could do the work on Thur. Both Dave and Greg were very professional and courteous. Dave did great work! I will recommend this company to others and use them again if needed.
