Great as always we have had them do our carpets and upholstered furniture for years . Always perfectly

I have carpet upstairs that we have just made arrangements to have stretched because someone left too much water, and Skinners did not do the cleaning this time. My mother in law fell and cut her head on the carpet, and I had to have someone come and take care of it right away, and Skinner was not available, and this other guy came and now we have a problem. I didn't even know that could happen with too much water left. The other company that we used left too much water, and could not suck it up when they cleaned the rug. They kept pushing on it, they stretched it with their wand. The wand that they use when they do carpet cleaning. When they were cleaning the carpet, they pushed too hard and they stretched the carpet. Now I have a rolling carpet and then my mother in law tripped on it, that is why I am calling Skinner to come and fix it. Skinner was here two years ago. They did a sofa for me before also. Skinners are very good, I have had them come for many years. I have hard wood floor underneath and we are thinking of taking the carpet out.

Fair, but had been excellent. I first heard about them through referrals, and had been a regular customer for a few years. Why good and not excellent anymore to me? It's because of the attitude. I had scheduled an afternoon cleaning one day, and the owner (a male) who typically have cleaned in the past showed up. My cleaning and shampooing order was for the first floor and stairway carpet to the 2nd floor. About a few minutes into his work, I was very friendly asking him if he can also shampoo and clean the basement carpets. Much to my very shock, he quickly snapped, turned red, then told me how much of tight schedule he was on, was not prepared for extra cleaning, did not like surprises, blah, blah, blah. His solution was that I were to call and make an appointment. He has never, ever acted like that before! Sure he may of had a bad day, but to take it out on a friendly, loyal, regular customer who is requesting MORE business...is out of line. Plus, I've never changed orders like that before. Before he left, he had time to cool off, was friendly and that I were to call in the office to schedule an appointment for the basement shampoo and cleaning. I did not call Skinners. I instead called Dream Steam to shampoo and clean my basement AND my retail office. Yes, I have a place of business that has carpet that Skinners used to clean also. Dream Steam is comparable in price and service, but have a much better attitude!

Great. They were on time, they completed the job in a timely manner, and the chair looked great when they were done.

It is a small well run family business so I always get quality work. It is usually either him or his son doing the work, and they are very focused on customer satisfaction. I normally can get my carpets clean in a timely fashion. He is very responsive and timely if you have an emergency situation.
