Computer Tech MD

I dropped it off on a Wednesday afternoon, described the problem. I was told it would be completed by Friday afternoon. I then called late Friday afternoon and it hadn't even been looked at. They claimed they ran into an issue on another project. I can completely understand that but CALL and let the others that are waiting know you're running behind! I depend on my computer as a self-employed individual. I picked it up and took it elsewhere (where it was fixed in 30 minutes!!). Communication is everything for business, they haven't figured that out yet.

I called this company one night and Mike was here the next night. I would guess that he was here a little under three hours and took care of everything for us. He was knowledgeable, professional and obviously knew exactly what to do. During the time he was working here, he answered many questions for us. When he was finished, he made sure that I got every possible credit available to me (senior citizen, etc.) on the bill. He will definitely be doing some other things for us in the future.

We called and spoke with Mike. (By the way, Computer Medic is now called Computer Tech MD). He was at our house the next day. He tried to remove the virus at our home, but needed to reinstall Internet Explorer, so took the computer back to his shop. He guaranteed that he would reinstall our McAfee and any other programs we had had on the computer before getting the virus. Mike's helper, Tyler, returned the computer to our home a couple of days later. An additional problem was found as our internet modem was working extremely slowly so we couldn't get any programs to upload onto the system. (This turned out to be a problem with our high speed internet carrier). Anyway, Mike came over on a Saturday evening and worked for a couple of hours calling our high speed internet provider and working with the computer. I've seen computer people work on the system at the office where I work and Mike seemed as competent as any of the people our business employs to troubleshoot our system at work. To make a long story short, Mike found out from our high speed provider that their tower was being repaired and we weren't getting reception. That tower was still not repaired 10 days later and we had never really had very fast speed from this provider. Based on Mike's recommendations for possible other high speed internet solutions available in our area, we went to another high speed internet provider and we now have a computer that's working absolutely fabulously with all programs installed! It's actually faster than my computer at work. We would highly recommend Mike, Tyler, and Computer Tech MD if you have a computer issue that needs a computer tech person to solve. Mike was competent, committed to getting our computer working, and very friendly and dependable.
