Description of Work: I had a tree that blew down last fall. I tried three different tree guys from craiglist and got estimates ranging from 500 to 2000 and then NONE of them showed up. These guys gave me an estimate of 750 and stuck to it (had to pay tax on the 750 that made it almost 800) and they did a great job and cleaned up.

Description of Work: Cut down a 70 ft. tree that was close to our house.

Description of Work: I am so pleased to be able to recommend American Tree Care! I contracted with American to remove an 80-foot linden tree from my Des Moines backyard. A trunk of this tree was leaning toward the roof of my house, and the tree was already cabled in two places. I figured I was one good storm away from disaster. One tree company had already declined to bid on the job due to access issues, so I had a few trepidations. American came, carefully studied the situation and came up with a plan to get the necessary equipment to the area of the tree with minimum disruption. My concerns were considerably relieved. The whole job was done "manually," so to speak, and took two days. No crane. No boom truck. (No room for either.) Just one man in a harness with a chainsaw 80 feet up, another crew member below, and a third guy dragging debris to the chipper. What amazed me most was the teamwork and efficiency of the process. Each cut section was lowered on ropes to the ground so there was no damage to surrounding plantings. As the final sections were cut, I could see for myself that the interior of the tree was rotted out. I believe I dodged a bullet.
