AMOS CONSTRUCTION

We got a bid and hired them. No contract was signed(shame on us!!). Things got ugly when we started asking about completion of stucco finish. We were given 2 time lines, both of which were missed with no communication from the company. We called them and advised them that we would be short paying their final invoice. When it came time to submit the final invoice, I reminded them of the short pay. They made up a bogus fee regarding an appliance restock fee to offset their short pay. They gave me the option of paying the bogus fee or shorting the invoice. They then advised me that if I short paid the invoice that they would put a lien on my home. I told them that they need to short pay the sub-contracted company that did the work since they were the ones that were not getting the work completed. Since I was given the option of shorting the invoice or paying the bogus fee, I asked for proof of the bogus fee and was told that I didn't need to see that. Very unprofessional individual to deal with!!! This company has taken advantage of me! I would be very cautious of dealing with this business. They are very nice in the beginning but things must go their way or they will make up lies to get things to go their way!!! Also beware of them trying to sell you things for a good price that they have just sitting around. Their good deals are only good deals for them!!! They lack tremendously in the area of communication and respect for the customer. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY, NOR USE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE!!!!
