Menco Painting

Erin and his team did a remarkable job. Erin promised to get our rental painted and some carpentry work completed in four days and they met their deadline. Not only did they do a great job, Erin is an excellent communicator and wrote a detailed contract that we appreciated.

Went well. Finished in just over two days and did an excellent job.

Erin is great, our house looks awesome and they did everything exactly how they said they would...almost shocking in the world of contractors so happy to leave a great review even though he didn't ask for one.

Erin and his crew were fast and on time. His bid was lower than others. When there was a miscommunication, he quickly resolved it. I would recommend Menco Painting.

We set an appointment twice with this group and both times they were a no show. After being 45 min late for the first visit I called and was told he was stuck and broke down on freeway. OK, so I figure sometimes things happen and gave him another shot. On second scheduled visit after being 30 minutes late I called again. This time...again...he was broke down on road with a flat tire. On both occasions I got no call telling me he was running late or having a problem. I had to call him. Very unprofessional and poor business practice. Not very considerate, especially since I took off a few hours on both occasions to meet with them. So, twice you strike out MENCO! Sorry MENCO, I will need to move on and delete you from my resources. Cant judge your work cause you didn't get past the front door. Still, I wish you well...just not with me.

Delayed a couple of days by illness, but came on a Saturday to get the job done. Very fast and efficient.

They were fast and efficient. I wouldn't call it perfect, but they followed my weird, colorful directions.

Best deal in Oahu. Detail oriented. His paint crew is superb. Clean and courteous. Highly recommended.

Erin from Menco was very responsive with providing me with a quote and informing me of my paint options. His quote was the lowest of 5 highly rated companies. I was about to have him do the work when a friend of a friend offered to help me. However, I still highly recommend Menco Painting for their professionalism, quick response time and low competitive quotes.

Menco Painting showed up on day and time agreed upon . All the above items were power washed , and prepped . The next day Erin brought a crew of 4 including himself and completed 90 % of the painting . The third day they finished all the painting , and did a very good clean-up of the property . The job was completed in 3 days as agreed upon . I would recommend , and use again , Menco Painting .

The day before the appointment they called and said they lost the appointment book. he asked to move appointment from Monday to Wednesday at 2pm. They no called no showed the new appointment time. He finally returned my calls at 4pm. He stated that he thought it was Thursday. I told him I do not want anything to do with this company. If this is how they do business, then they are not a good company to do business with.

No problem. Menco came out and measured our home, and the estimate came out much higher than what was paid on Angie's List. We are planning to use a different paint company.

Painting was delayed by 1 1/2week. Painter did not contact me until the morning they were to arrive. The entire contents of the room "stored" all over the house. Small Hallway was not included in coupon. Cost to paint small hallway double the cost of painting the room!!!

The Big Deal would only cover a portion of the exterior of my home and I found the quote for the remaining square footage to be too expensive. I actually have gotten another for less money, so I have decided to go with a different provider. I have contacted Angie's List in order to get a refund of the Big Deal purchase.

I would recommend Menco to any and everyone who needs any painting done on their home or business. I needed a fast turn around on a rental property. They scheduled for a quote the next day, were helpful in suggestions of color and sheen. They use only professional grade paint. They did hand rolling and brush only, no sprayer. They had to go over DARK blue and Dark magenta, pink, purple, and mint green bedrooms from when my children were little. It was amazing. I left in the morning with old dark paint and came back in the afternoon - not even night, to find every room painted perfectly. Every bit of the dark colors were painted over with primer and paint. They didn't skimp at all. I found out that the blue room took 4 coats to cover. I have really dark carpeting in my house so I don't have to deal with red dirt. There wasn't even a single drop of white on the carpets. I asked him to show me how he and his team did it. He showed me how they went below the carpet line with a brush and never touched the carpet!.. Their lines on edges were perfect. Typically I am really critical. I did an easy once over and that was it. I handed over the check. There was no reason not to. A few of his team came back the next day to do a final coat on the door and banister. When I came back, extra paint was in nice, new neat cans labeled with the color, number and what areas of the house it was used for. I also had a can of blue paint for me or my kids to paint an outdoor beam that had been repaired. When I looked, Menco had seen the can in the dining room and PAINTED THE BEAM JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE THAT NICE! it was a great surprise and added just that little touch of personal service that can't be beat. Their prices are more than reasonable. I had 4 quotes done and he was right in price line with the other painters, but had suggested doing things that the other companies had not. It made all the difference for a great job. Other companies would have charged the same price, but not given the attention to detail that Menco DID.

They did a really good job. We told them exactly what I wanted and they did what they got to do. Everything is neat and they're quality workers. I thought price would be good quality job but the price was a little high. I would use them again in the future.

For the most part, all workmen were professional, clean, timely, and competent. They were very pleasant and cordial and provided a safe atmosphere in my home. I've had several workers come in to do work in my home before, unpleasant to be around (swearing, smoking, inappropriate conversations, sleeping in garage during lunch break)-all while I had children in the home. Menco did NO such thing! Although they seemed very competent in their work, I found it peculiar that they did NOT lay any painters tape or drop cloth to protect my oak floors and white carpet. Low and behold, after they left, I found paint drops on my floors, but nothing I couldn't scrape off. However, the MOST disturbing thing was my clogged drain in my washroom where I found them cleaning their equipment. $200.00 later, I had to call a reputable plumbing company (after my own home remedies didn't alleviate my clogged drain) to fix it! I couldn't do laundry for three days!!! We found a painters cloth in the drain!!!! Needless to say, I am disappointed with the outcome and will be apprehensive in referring them to others or use their services again.

Went well, job was quite satisfactory. There was a misunderstanding about the sheen of the interior paint. I wanted flat but it ended up semi gloss. Other than that is was a good job. I have used them in the past to help my real estate clients prepare their homes for sale, and they offer a good value for the work performed. Would use them again, and recommend them.

It was great! Erin's price and quality of work is amazing. He came over quick to give me an estimate, we agreed on the pricing and he came the following week to paint our home. It took him and his crew two days and now our house looks amazing. His price, quality of work, and working with our special request to cover all the bird holes was pretty darn good. He is a local guy who makes you feel comfortable with the job, the pricing options, doesn't make you feel pressured into going with him, and is straight up real. He cares about his work and his customers. We just had our baby so with this being our first house and our first exterior paint job, he took our baby into consideration and asked if we could leave the house for several house while he and his crew sprayed the house. I had no idea what painting the house entailed so I'm glad he looked out for us. And yes HE was here working with this crew. I'm a huge fan of the owner putting the time in to making sure his customers get the best quality of work. I am a real estate agent and I am definitely going to recommend him to my colleagues. I'm going point out one thing, but I'm it's also me being a little picky, but if he could just work on his timing a little more this job would have been hands down perfect. He was about 10-15 mins late for the estimate visit, a couple of days late getting me the quote (from the day he said he'll send it over), and did not communicate with me well if he would be here or not due to the weather. I had to call him and clear things up, but if he called me first or was on time with the estimate, this would have been perfect. We knew this going into the transaction from the get go, but if he waited a day later to get me the quote, we were about to sign the contract with somebody else. His price was what made us get overt the timing issue. I'm telling you, get Erin over for a price quote and you will be amazed at his pricing and his quality of work. We had about 7 paint quotes and Erin's was the last quote we had. So glad we waited for him. Thanks Erin!!

Easy to work with. They were on time, very professional and did everything as promised. Neighbors complimented me on how good the house looks now and I didn't have to take out another mortgae to pay for it. Very fair on the price.

When I called Menco Painting, Erin, the owner, responded immediately and came out to give me an estimate. Out of the 3 painting companies I called, he was the only one who responded immediately. He arrived on time and was very professional and helpful in giving me advice. I was putting my house up for sale and wanted to know how to best spend my money. He gave some great suggestions. What also is great about Erin is he is professional but very personable, and caring as well. Let me explain, I was supposed to meet Erin to give him my 50% deposit but I got sick and had to be admitted to the hospital. I still needed to have the house painted though. Erin was very flexible and waited until my husband could give him the deposit and assured me everything would be OK. He seemed genuinely concerned about my health as well. He told me not to worry about the house and work on getting better because he would handle the exterior painting and make sure it was done to my liking. I made my color choices from my hospital bed (not a good idea) and when I talked with Erin, he politely suggested a different scheme based on his years of experience and again assured me I would love it and not to worry. Well he was RIGHT! The house looks awesome! The old paint was peeling, nail heads were rusted and some were sticking out, but all that is old news because Erin & his team took care of it all as promised and finished ON TIME. My sister had to stop by the house, which is a rental, to drop off supplies and Erin and his team were there. She met them and said they were very nice, helpful and professional too. I received an estimate with a detailed listing of what was included in the job and what is not included. This listing can be used as a checklist after the job is over, very convenient. Erin's estimate was dead on, no extra charges were assessed even though it took more paint than he originally thought. Menco Painting also offered a limited 2 yr warranty, which no other company I consulted offered (even though their prices were much higher). Erin provided the most reasonable quote to repaint the house the same color scheme as the original and approved by the homeowner's association, requiring five different shades of paint. He estimated one day prep and one day paint and was flexible enough to meet my requested dates with a two week notice. Day one went as planned however they needed an extra half day due to the amount of detailed trim work. Erin and crew were polite and professional throughout the job and cleaned up after themselves each day. The house looks great. I'd use Menco again without hesitation.
