Description of Work: Only wanted basic yard work done. Cut grass, trim hedges, light weeding. I was quoted $400 every 2 weeks! Lack of understanding, she wanted to transform the entire landscape, told me to ask the landlord if they would help pay for it!

+ 0 moreThey show up right on schedule. The guys are pleasant, professional, and very good at accommodating our special needs. We've had some problems with people moving our waste cans and so the waste just doesn't get picked up. Mulkern picks up the extra green waste and they've been responsive about that.

+ -1 moreCalled and quoted $70.00 minimum for one hour of work. Set up Saturday appt, no show. Tried again for a Tuesday at a specific time, had to cancel as I had to leave the house and they hadn't showed up yet. Third time was a charm. Be sure to really pin them down on a date/time. Good news: able to fix my irrigation contraption. Also checked all the sprinklers while they were here, AND fixed my poor water pressure that had prevented the sprinkler heads from popping up correctly for the past many years, AND reset my automatic timer with better watering schedule. Yea! Yea! Mr. Mulkern and his helper were professional and personable. Company based in Waimanalo, so much closer to East Honolulu, than all the other irrigation folks that seem to be based in Kapolei. Bad news: since two guys showed up, I was actually charged $70 per hour Per Person. When I called about the discrepancy, the billing/office person let me know that they pretty much always send out 2 people to jobs, and she thought that she told me, and she tries to let everyone know this. I WOULD hire them again, as he did know more about irrigation than just changing sprinkler heads. I DID receive more service than I expected. Now I know what to expect in terms of price, and to be firm on appt. time.
Description of Work: Irrigation back-flow contraption for automatic sprinkler system leaking, also, sprinkler heads not popping up due to low water pressure. Took apart contraption, and cleaned, oiled all parts which stopped the leaking. Checked all the sprinkler settings, and opened the control boxes to check. Able to make adjustments to allow better water flow to sprinkler heads
