A Cut Above Roofing

Description of Work: A Cut Above Roofing was awarded a contract to re-roof one building at our condo located in west Maui. The crew showed up, looking like they were hoping to break into unoccupied units, rather than re roof them. They all looked like they were on Parole. I am assuming that Hawaii does not use GPS ankle bracelets, because none of the workers had one. They ripped off the roof and went home. Being Hawaii, where it has been know to rain on occasion, did not seem to bother the owner of A Cut Above Roofing, as he was one of the first to leave. We'll it rained. EVERY upper unit received water damage. The next day they showed up and began work as if nothing had happened, even though they were told of the damage. At the end of the day, the owner said all was well and that nothing would leak. We'll it rained again and all the units got more water damage. The next day they were at it again, with the owner working on the roof as standing water was pouring into some of the units. It was suggested that he sweep the water from the flat roof to avoid the flooding, but he said he was too busy. It was not until his power was shut off that he got the hint and swept the roof. The damage to all of the units was in the thousands of dollars. Long term residents had to move out, Vacationers were relocated and investors lost income. Even if you know nothing about roof repairs, do it yourself before using" A Cut Above Roofing".
