Description of Work: The inspector did a fine job. After we fixed some things, he came back to check that everything was completed. He great about being prompt and available. We can call him with questions. He was also very personable. He worked with our Realtor most of the time.

He was prompt in setting a date for the inspection, performing the inspection, and then reporting the results (as opposed to the, "Well, I can probably get around to it some time in the next few weeks . . ." response that you sometimes get from local businesses). It takes about a week for the lab results to come back, but once he received them, he called me personally to report the results as well as sending them by email. Once it was determined that mold existed in the home, Tom kept in touch during my search for a mold remediator. (Pacific Inspections performs testing but not remediation.) And once the remediation was finished, he was just as prompt in re-testing the home as he was during the original testing. In summary, Pacific Inspection Group has the necessary professional certifications, high ethical standards, and level of professionalism that would lead me to heartily recommend them to everyone on the Hilo-side of the Big Island that need their homes tested for mold.
Description of Work: Tom Burgess (the proprietor of the company) inspected my home for mold. It involved setting spore traps and sending them off for analysis, taking about a week. I ended up using his services twice—once to test the home for mold, and a second time to verify that the mold had been removed. The cost mentioned in this review ($400) was for one test, so the total cost was $800.
