Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

When I was told the cost of the job would be $505.00 plus tax, I was shocked. He told me that the price was set by the company. I had $60 coupon, so it came out $465.00. Since he’s already at my home, I gave him ok. I couldn’t send him back because I was afraid there would be a charge for the visit whether I use his service or not. The job took approximately 30 mins excluding time he spent loading and unloading his tools. I felt so stupid for paying that much for 30 mins job.

Made four different appointments. They did not show up for any of the four appointments.

One of my toilets was stopped up and I could not clear it with a plunger. I called two other companies advertising emergency repairs. Both were not available for at least 24 hours. Roto Rooter answered their phone and I had a technician at the house in two hours. The problem was fixed with a snake used to clear the plug. Technician was polite, professional and efficient. Roto's price was at he high end of companies contacted but worth a couple of bucks to clear the problem.

Called early afternoon Thursday, Aug. 2. Technician E. arrived about 4:30. Assessed the problem right away. Worried that old tubes could break during replacement. Sprayed on lots of W-D and said he wanted to let it sit for a while. He also found shutoff valve to the house....hidden under grass in front yard. Came next day as promised (called first). Fortunately, the mechanism loosened up. E. was able to quickly make the replacement. Double checked everything. Entire time was pleasant, explained clearly. Especially made clear costs and repairs needed if this approach didn’t work.

They were able to set up an appointment the same day I called and the plumber, John, arrived during the scheduled time. He diagnosed the problem, ie, a clogged drain and was able to completely fix the problem, even though, the solution was not very straightforward. He also replaced my old kitchen faucet with the new one I had previously bought. Again, it was not an easy job due to the design of my kitchen but he did an outstanding job. He explained everything he was doing, answered all my questions, and was very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend John and his company. I would definitely call them again if I need to fix anymore plumbing problems.

Great! I scheduled an initial estimate and John responded quickly and provided an honest estimate stating their prices were higher because they perform quality work. After receiving another higher estimate, I went with Roto-Rooter. All work completed with no problems.

They did a good job but didn't show up on the day that they promised. Showed up one day later and also had to return that same day due to a leak they missed.

The price was pretty much in line with the going rate. The quality was fine. They were prompt and thorough. They got the work done in a very timely manner.

Easy job since I unhooked everything. $400 is very expensive for 10 minutes of work.

Roto Rooter would not come to our area on a weekend. I was told there were only two plumbers on call and they were busy. When I called on Monday, the plumber told me I would need to purchase the toilet myself. He had no recommendation as to the type of toilet I needed in my condo. I then called Steve's Plumbing Service. They brought a new back flow, pressure assisted toilet within two days and had it installed in a matter of a couple hours.

Tony was very professional and polite. Tony knew right away what was wrong. He fix both the sink and toilet very quickly for a minimal bill. Additionally, Tony made recommendations for the kitchen sink. We took our time, thought about it and followed his advise. We called Roto Rooter for a follow up with Tony. We waited weeks for an appointment because Tony was on vacation. No problem. I wanted to wait. However, The day of the appointment and waiting two hours into the appointment time,I get a call from Roto Rooter stating Tony is not available and they can send another plumber. It is the day before our vacation. As this point, I agree to accept another plumber. I was disappointed. The replacement plumber did not have good customer service skills. The job was done well. Bottom line. I do recommend Roto Rooter.

Johnny Agbunag arrived on time. He was pleasant and worked quickly to resolve both issues. Although the work was just completed yesterday, I doubt the clogging will return as both drains are running quite freely.

They were the first listing to respond to me for emergency service at 6:30PM on a Thursday. Offered service within 2 hours and actually arrived well within that window. The plumber dispatched was Joseph. Friendly, efficient and resolved the issue quickly. My leak affected the apartment below me and he even checked with them to make sure that his fix resolved the leaking into their place.

I can't say enough nice things about Sam and Vangel who came promptly on a Sunday morning during the playoff football games to fix our clogged sewer line. The agent said they would be at the house within 2 hrs. and they arrived within 30 minutes and stayed almost 2.5 hours. Sam arrived first and was professional, charming and very helpful and knowledgeable. He gave us an estimate and then gave us a discount because we used Angies List and were seniors. He proceeded to snake the toilet without removing it but was stopped by the roots after 2 feet. He then removed the toilet and worked through the roots and snaked all the way to the street where our sewer ties into the city lines. He called another repairman, Vangel, who showed up 15 mins later with the camera and they took videos of where the roots had been penetrating the line. They replaced the toilet with 2 new wax rings and even cleaned up the mess in the bathroom. I will definitely use roto rooter again in the future as we own 7 homes in the area and they have the equipment and manpower to respond quickly and efficiently to a call. They may not be the cheapest, but if you mention Angies List, you can get a great discount.

Cleaned out our clogged drain, then sent a camera down to diagnose the problem. He found that the pipes had disintegrated to nothing, sonared the pathway of our sewer line under our driveway and gave us an estimate. He also offered to print everything up for whoever would do the job. I also needed 2 minor repairs done. To save me some money, George showed me how to do it myself. The best part was b4 he even looked at the job, he knew he could take care of our problem. AND HE DID. We made a new friend that day.

The plumber was very professional, friendly, and efficient. He arrived on time and assessed the situation; picked up the part and completed the tasks. Very satisfied and would call them again!

One specific technician named Matty Smith, he was amazing. He was really, really, really good. I will never call anybody else but him. He was the guy that Roto-Rooter sent out. He was so good I always request him. They have come out at least three times. It was excellent, it was very good. Matty you can tell he's very passionate about his job, he is very thorough and he cares. He will answer my questions, he is really good. They were very helpful, very friendly. They have a really nice camera with a big colored screen with has the depths of the actual location, you know exactly how deep it was. Because of that really good equipment we were able to find out what the problem was.

..Phone answered promptly on a sunday morning at 8:15 am by customer service. Tech named Mario arrived on time about an hour later. He was very knowledgeable and experienced in analyzing and fixing the problem. They are not the cheapest but they have the right equipment to do the job and the camera snake is absolutely worth it. You can really see exactly what the problem is and where it is located.

I messed up the bathtub drain trying to unclog it myself with a popular store bought product. I became exasperated after emptying two bottles of the liquid expecting it to unclog the drain (as advertised) after15 minutes. Instead the liquid remained clogging my tub drain overnight . What to Do? I called Roto-Rooter and got service that afternoon and a much needed cleared drain in time for my husband's therapy bath. And best yet, I also got some needed advice/education about drain pipes and "Pipe Shield", the proper product to use to keep the drain running good. I've used it in all my drains already and now they even smell good!. Thanks Vangel, it was nice meeting you. I live in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Matthew Smith was the camera specialist dispatched to us and boy were we blessed to have him. He was wonderful, on time, very professional, very knowledgable, not in a hurry, he was able to explain all procedures and options to me. His strong work ethic and dedication to providing quality customer service really made us feel like we won the lottery with him. Overall, I would recommend him to anyone and I would request him specifically anytime we need a plumber in the future.
