Crew efficiently removed old growth. Weed block, cinders and new plants put in. Layer of cinders was very thin. Rain kept washing away cinders exposing the weed block. Had to buy several bags to replace cinders. Owner suggested euphorbia. We asked if that plant had white sap. He said no. Well, euphorbia does have white sap that burns the eyes if not careful. A few of them didn't thrive. To his credit, he replaced them a couple of times at no additional cost but replacements were smaller than other plants; a couple are barely surviving. Owner also planted vermiliad. After a year, there were no flowers. Owner said sometimes it takes 2 year to flower. It's been 2 years and no flowers. He must use substandard but costly plants. Will replace them with better quality vermiliad at my own cost.

We had a new house built on a larger than normal lot. Homeowner association required that the lot be landscaped within 90 days.Steep banks needed ground covers to hold the soil in place; other areas needed a lawn, sprinkler system and other work. Basically it was a big dirt lot with really terrible soil and needed to be fixed up fast. I did research on what types up plants I thought would be good. I had 3 contractors come out to offer ideas and estimates. Jody of Paradise Properties impressed me with his enthusiasm and ideas. He seemed to have a good grasp on what I wanted to end up with. His crew got started very quickly and I was happy with the way they did the work each day. For the most part I ended up with exactly what was agreed upon, and was happy with the way the crew did the job. About a year later when one of the sprinkler valves started to leak he sent someone out to fix it, no charge. However, there were some glitches that prevent me from giving this company the highest rating. If you watch out for these, you'll be happy with their work: -- for some reason they installed the sprinklers at the bottom of the steep slopes, instead at top. As a result coverage is not good, now that the plants have grown in. Question his sprinkler plan. I'd never had a sprinkler system and depended on him to do it right. I have plenty of water pressure, so putting sprinkler heads at the top of a slope is not a problem. --some plants that were supposed to be on one slope turned out to be a different kind than the ones I showed him that I wanted. There are several varieties, and the wrong one was planted. Couldn't tell from the little plugs he put in, until they grew up. -- I asked Jody for a detailed map of where the sprinkler lines had been laid, so I wouldn't accidentally break them when doing yard work. He never did provide it, even after several reminders. A couple of years later I decided to take out much of the lawn, move some sprinklers and go xeriscape. I was happy enough with Jody's previous work that I wanted him to do the new job. But I couldn't get him to respond to emails or phone calls. He simply would not respond. So I went with another company.

There were a clean up crew and a maintenance crew working to do a one-time clean up of my backyard together. They were punctual, courteous, efficient and quick. Very thorough job done with pulling out climbing vines on my tall rock wall and trimming trees in the steep backyard. There were at least 7 workers and they spent 5 hours around my house. I'm pleased with the end result.
