Description of Work: It went terrible. I gave the okay and needed it ASAP. Wanted drawing of their work that I would have paid extra for but nothing was done. Many contact was made in the beginning with promises but in the end nothing was done and coupon expired. Didn't call me or return any of my calls thereafter. Bad and irresponsible to customers who are counting on their promises.

Description of Work: They jacked up the old homestead house which was sinking in a corner and replaced the foundation and floor joists; they also removed old rotten flooring and replaced with new floor. They were very honest and helped us save money. And they cleaned up the mess and some extra too. Good workers and fun to talk story with them.

Description of Work: Requested an estimate for a kitchen and two bathroom re- models and did not recieve any follow-up. Hwe showed up at the house and viewed the job, but despite several calls on my part, he wouldn't give me a xesign plan or estimate.

+ -1 moreLater he submitted a quote which was very reasonable. At the time I enlisted him as a possible contractor, the condo owner was going to foot the bill. However, several weeks later the homeowners insurer and the condo association insurer got involved. Another contractor was called in by the insurer. The owner of the condo chose the much higher quote from the other contractor because of the owner's high deductible. Shawn was very professional, kind, knowledgeable and seemed sincere and trustworthy. I will definitely call Square One again when I have another project that needs a good contractor.
Description of Work: The contractor Shawn and his estimator met me at the rental condo to view the damages from a toilet overflow. They viewed each room, took measurements, and referred me to a flooring store that might have a match to the existing flooring since one of the rooms did not suffer any damage. Shawn explained what would be done and how they lay laminate flooring to perform better and last longer. We had several telephone conversations and emails.

+ -1 moreShawn, the owner, returned my call right away to set up a meeting. He's busy so getting a firm start date was touch and go, but once that was set, the work started and finished on schedule. It was messy work but the Square One team went the extra mile to minimize dust and clean up. I'm hoping to use them again as the project moves forward. Shawn has good ideas and is helpful in exploring options.
Description of Work: Square One removed a popcorn ceiling and primed the ceiling, they also removed all the flooring in the condo and other demo work in preparation for the renovation.

+ 0 moreMy husband and I hired Square One to remove the ugly old popcorn ceiling of our house that we just purchased. The job was very labor intensive and messy. Shawn, the owner, gave us a great bid and he came highly recommended. Since the job involved several steps of waiting for things to dry, etc. it took roughly 4 days to do 2600 square feet. Shawn and his crew came in and went straight to work, taped things off so I didn't end up with dust everywhere, and did the work so quickly everytime I came to check on the house I was amazed. I highly recommend using Square One for general contracting or remodeling. He is very competitive with his bids and his workers look nice/behave politely (not sketchy like they just got out of jail or rehab). I will have him do more work for me in the future as the need arises. Square One is the great solid choice...you WILL NOT be sorry.
Description of Work: The service that was provided was removal of popcorn ceiling: scrape, retexture, prime, and paint.
