Description of Work: A magnet based water softening system consisting of seven pieces was purchased and the GMX representative delivered them. He installed the magnets on the hot water line and explained how I should install them on the cold water line which was buried underground. As I was in the house only a month I didn't experience exactly how hard the water was but the systems seems to have made a substantial difference. This is a rather expensive option.

Description of Work: Sold me a GMX 4800 4 Device,WHOLE HOUSE System that was supposed to control hard water in my plumbing and appliance systems. I placed the units as directed, but it had no impact on the hard water in my house. Considering I paid $699 for essentially what are magnets, this was not a wise purchase. Also, I purchased these in Dec of 2010, but could not select that option. Description of Work: Installed a magnetic water conditioner system.
