The plumber quickly found out what the problem was and explained what needed to be done. He was very pleasant and professional and quickly finished the job. There was also another problem with my shower that I had him look at. Although it turned out not to be a plumbing problem that he could fix, he explained what was happening and what needed to be done.

I use them all the time and the one thing that stands out is that they seem to have a good phone staff, so the communication is handled very well. They speak well, they understand what is going on, they understand my needs, and they respond and they call me back. They have a very good office staff and the plumbers that come are very good also. I have called a lot of places, their office is in a dump, and they don't know how to communicate or to get back to people on time. However, with A-1, I am very impressed with the staff, and with how quickly they answer the phone. They take down all the information and they keep the information on hand so I don't have to keep repeating every time I call for service. They know who I am, they know where I live, they know what service was provided earlier, and they are very up on what my needs are. They usually have good prices.

Our shower was draining very slowly and one of bathroom sinks was leaking. Making the initial appointment, the woman answering the phone asked the appropriate questions, but the way she talked, it didn't sound like they wanted my business. I almost did not choose them because of this conversation. They came by and quickly fixed both the drain and the sink. The sink and the shower have been working fine since. I think the price was a little high, but I was expecting to pay more for the service, so I do not feel that they overcharged me for the work.

Veterans Day. My husband fixing a valve in the tank, when complete dropped the lid into the toilet. Toilet completely broken. Visitors in two hours. Called and got immediate assistance. Although fully booked for the day they promised to come between 3 and 6 p.m. True to their word we got the last call of the day around 4.00 p.m. Extremely courteous and very professional. New toilet was installedand area was left 100% cleaned up. Old toilet taken outside. Plumber also reseated our other toilet which had just started to leak. We would have been in quite a pickle without their assistance and extremely pleased with their service. Highly recommend

Spotty results largely depending on the individual plumber who provides the service. Recommend finding an experienced plumber working for this company whose work you like and then request that plumber each time you phone in fora service call.

Excellent service, prompt, very professional, courteous.

When my water heater stopped working causing me to take ice cold showers, I called A1 plumbing for the repair. I was most impressed by their punctuality and professionalism. They can, examined the water heater and had it fixed in 30 minutes. They then stayed an extra 15 minutes to try and figure out exactly why it had broken so that it wouldn't happen again.

They tried to snake it, but their snake broke off in the pipe. The plumber said that it would rust and break away in a couple of months. He didn't charge us or give us an invoice for documentation. I was so stupid to not demand that or make them open up the wall and remove the snake at the time. Now, a year later the pipe is clogged again and I'm pretty sure their broken off snake is part of the problem.

Overall, I was satisfied with the job.

They rescheduled the original appointment and showed up on time for the second appointment. The unclogged the shower but had to come back a second time to unclog the toilet

We were impressed by the service we received, from calling in the initial request, the communication on the day of the visit, and the service itself. The office staff were able to answer our questions during the initial call without difficulty, so much so that we asked to schedule the service and were suprised that they could come out the very next day. When I mentioned my availability that day -- specifically that I would head home immediately following a meeting at work -- they reassured me that they would call to let me know when to expect the plumber during the 3-hour window we had agreed upon. The following day, they were kind enough to call me at work and let me know that, because earlier jobs were taking a bit longer, I did not need to rush home as quickly as I had originally thought. Having known that I was concerned about getting home in time, Jackie (the office staff) took the time to ensure that I wasn't rushing needlessly. In fact, she called twice, just to make sure that I had received the original message. The plumber, Shawn, arrived in a reasonable amount of time and immediately got to work on the job. He was kind, clearly skilled and communicated to me what he was doing. When the old sink was slow to budget, he shared with me some concerns he had about potential damage to the countertop if the sink were forced out and took the time to make sure that all seams were broken before pulling out the old unit. Shawn also took the time to test the new sink and all the connections every which way after the installation, to ensure that no leaks persisted (which was one of the reasons for the new sink and fixtures in the first place.) The extra efforts that Jackie and Shawn made to keep us informed about everything meant a great deal, on top of the expert installation. This was especially appreciated given that the hardware store where we purchased the sink and fixtures would have charged us more than twice what we paid A1 Budget Plumbing.

The service was great. The quality of the work was very good.

Overall, the experience has been pretty good. We've had them out for a few different projects. They're fairly reliable and the price is pretty reasonable.

Called to see if a plumber could come out and take a look at my piping and provide an estimate. This company does not provide estimates. Receptionist said work would be billed on hourly basis if plumber is dispatched.

Nothing happened because this company did not answer my phone call regarding an emergency and nobody returned my call after leaving a message.

Called in the morning, plumber came to the house in the early afternoon. Problem quickly diagnosed and had the clog cleared in 20 minutes. Since you pay for a minimum of 1 hour, he asked for other things that he could work on. He installed a new bathroom faucet that we were planning to do ourselves.

The tenant called about water running in the toilet. I asked A-1 Budget to also check all the other plumbing in the unit. They discovered a shower leak and frozen shut off valve in the bathroom plus the toilet leak problem. It was necessary to arrange for a water shut down in the building to accomplish the work. Their office coordinated with the tenants and the building manager. With only a short amount of time during the water shut down, they arrived promptly and had all the parts needed and finished the project on time and within the estimate.

They came quickly, the next day. They were prompt. I would use them in the future.

Looked on the web and asked friends/family for recommendation. Called A-1 Budget Plumbing on Tuesday and made an appointment for the following morning so I could schedule time off from work. The dispatcher asked several questions to get a fix on the scope of work. Dispatcher was very friendly and professional. She gave me a 3 hour window of time when the plumber would be arriving. The following morning the dispatcher called within the time window given to alert me that the plumber was on his way. he arrived about 15 minutes later. He looked at the problem area and the faucet set I had purchased to see if there were any problems with the work. He indicated that he did not anticipate any problems. He went right to work and did the work in an hour. He demonstrated that there were no leaks and the faucet and disposer operated correctly. I chose to purchase the disposer from the plumber. The unit provided is excellent quality (Insinkerator Badger 5) so I was very satisfied. He then offered to clean up but I chose to do it myself (time = $$). The plumber worked up the invoice, I wrote a check and he was off to his next appointment. The plumber noted that the work was guaranteed and they would return to fix any problems. It has been a week and we have not had any problems with the install.
