About us

Locally owned by its employees HPM Building Supply has 4 locations on the Big Island (Hilo, Keaau, Kona & Waimea) and 1 on Oahu (Campbell). Since 1921. Since starting out over 90 years ago as a small, family-owned Hilo lumber mill, HPM Building Supply—now 100-percent employee-owned—has grown to include three full-service building supply centers and four lumber yards on the Big Island. The company manufactures pre-engineered trusses and wall-panels, metal roofing and pre-hung doors, and treats its own lumber. From its Honolulu facility HPM also provides lumber, building supplies, home planning and custom metal roofing to O‘ahu, Maui and Kaua‘i.

In addition we provide services including truss, wall panel, metal roofing and cabinet design; material house bonding; and home design services for packaged homes and custom homes.
