It took three days for me to get a call back from one of their people. While I was discussing my needs, the person I spoke to did not seem really interested in answering my questions. When I finally got him to tell me what he had and what would work for my window, he said he would get back to me with a quote. That is the last I heard from them. It has been over a week.
Description of Work: I called requesting information on installing a window a/c. I wanted something that could be repaired locally.

I know this may not help in your case but please know our current management staff has been working together on Maui for over 20 years to provide great service to the people and businesses of Maui. As a reward for our hard work we currently do very little advertising as over 90% of our new business comes from local word of mouth. We truly care for our customers and the reviews I am seeing on this site are not representative of the hearts and work ethic of our staff. Had I known of this site I would have immediately addressed the concerns. I know as hard as we try we will never be perfect every time but we are committed to fix any misses we have. We were unhappy with the service and the air conditioner was not fixed. If the unit was on its way out, then we would not have opted to have their expensive cleaning service which did not help.
Description of Work: Air conditioner, mounted in wall type, was not working. After evaluation Scott's said it needed to be cleaned. They left a mess, charged a lot and the air conditioner quite working again a week later. We are not calling them back.

AC was not getting cold and they replaced one part after another which only gave me temporary results. Each time they came out they said it was something else that had caused the same problem. Finally, they replaced the compressor for $1800 saying that this would surely solve all of the problems I was having. They installed a supposedly brand new compressor and it failed right away. Not sure if it was faulty as they claimed, or it had been installed wrong. They installed another one - also supposedly brand new - and it worked - for a while. Since I wanted to be sure this was a new compressor and under the factory warranty they told me about, I wanted them to give me the original paperwork - or even copies - from the manufacturer. They said they would but never did. I called and emailed them several times but felt like I was trying to collect money from a deadbeat. They gave me broken "computer excuses" for a while they put me on their spam list so I couldn't email them anymore and just pretty much refused to give me any paperwork other than the original invoice from them which told me nothing about the compressor they installed. I have no idea what the brand name is, let alone the model number or other info. Their invoice says that it was new but how would I know? Of course the original problem returned but I had another company take care of it for $200. Bottom line is I paid them over $2200 and they never fixed the original problem and I have no paperwork for warranty information and no way of knowing if they even installed a new compressor. Talking to other store owners here on Maui, I have heard many similar complaints. I only wish I would have consulted Angie's List before calling them in the 1st place.
Description of Work: Replaced various parts including a supposedly new compressor on a commercial AC unit for my art gallery. .

Very poorly, No action from Scotts
Description of Work: Scotts Refrigeration installed Central A/C, It developed a fron leak within the guarantee period. Scotts didn't respond or gave us one story after another of why they couldn't repair the leak, We got fed up after about a year of phone calls and no action and got another company to repair the A/C. scotts refrigeration iinstalled
