I’ve changed my review score from 1 to 3 after Cooling Hawaii sent one of their chief technicians to my property who immediately resolved the issue.
It would be 5, if it they didn’t make me boil for months in my new house with new ACs that didn’t work.
My initial review dated 1.5 years ago was:
——
I paid them $30,000+ for installing several ACs at my home. It’s been almost a year and they still haven’t completed the job!
If they owe you a job, prepare:
1. They will never pick up your calls.
2. They rarely reply to anything.
3. They can send a guy to you, but he won’t fix anything. And then they will just postpone the solution to the next week. And then to the next week, and so on!
Their business works like that:
- They take the advance payments from you and promise you a warranty
- They put ACs
- If those ACs start leaking or blowing hot air, they abandon you and focus on getting money from the new clients. Forget about the warranty and client service.
“We can’t make everyone happy” - that’s what their technician said when I asked him why our AC is still not working in almost a year after we paid for it!
Response from Cooling Hawaii
Aloha Mr. Halavins,
We are very sorry to hear about this. Outstanding customer service and quality workmanship are our top priorities, so what you described above sounds extremely out of the ordinary for us. We take your feedback very seriously, and we are making every effort to get our lead technicians to your property to fix the AC units. The people your team initially contacted last year no longer work for Cooling Hawaii. Please use our 808-727-2777 phone number and info@coolinghawaii.com e-mail address. You may also text our service cell phone at 808-740-4242.
We are looking through our files and correspondence with fresh eyes, and our records show that we never got to do our own Startup yet. We needed to schedule with your concierge/assistant to go back to do the Startup after we put the equipment in. When the GC called last month saying he had a punch list he was trying to close out, our employee went that same day to check it out, and he discovered that the units were already turned on, lineset was removed, and the equipment was lifted. If the systems were turned on before we went in and did our own Startup, there could potentially be several issues that can occur. Don’t worry, though. We are working diligently to make things right. We recently issued a refund to you for the controllers, and our team of professionals will be back onsite to fix or complete any open items.
Please feel free to call us any time.
Mahalo,
Cooling Hawaii Management
