Horrible. After bringing the product home, I brought some of the boxes into the house and opened to acclimate to the house as suggested in the instructions. I noticed that over half of the boards were bowed and the click and lock system was not the same system that was given to me as sample, and not the same as the saleman sold me on. I installed the wood in one 350 squarefoot room and one hallway, about 70 squarefeet. The flooring was hard to put together as the boards were bowed. After I finished the room and hallway, the entire floor crackled and creaked when walked on. I complained to the salesman and he promptly came to my house and looked at the floor. He agreed that the boards were bowed beyound exceptable limits and there was excessive noise from the floor. He took video and pictures of the floor and sent to the regional manager, Steven Czapala, in San Diego. A few days later, Czapala called me and repeatedly told me that they'd "Take care of me." Czapala told me that I needed to complete the floor and the hallway. I did not previously rip the boards that go along the wall as I did not want to ruin the boards if I could take them back. He told me that I'd be "amazed" that by finishing the boards along the wall and putting on the baseboards that it would take care of 90-95% of the noise. Over the course of the next few days, I did just that. I ripped the boards for the walls, put on the baseboards, and cut the Tigerwood trim for along the sliding glass door. Same issue, crackling sound when walking on the floor. I called Czapala and he said one of his trusted agents would come and look at the floor. A few days later, Jay Rea from Wisteria Lane Flooring showed up, after completely missing one appointment without calling. He immediately said my floor was out of level, without examining the floor or the wood. And the bowing, that was normal according to him. I hired a professional at $2,000.00 to come in and level the floors. After putting the room and hallway back with the baseboards installed, same issue, crackling and creaking. I called Czapala and voiced my concern over the quality of the product. He said I could not return the used boards because the boxes were opened. How rediculous, how else can I install the floor. I offered to absord half the cost of the remaining flooring that I did not lay down yet. No deal. I have since hired a hardwood flooring inspector certified though the National Wood Flooring Association. He has found so far, that the crackling is due to excessive moisture in the wood, not an unlevel floor. This is a terrible product and a terrible company. Exceptionally poor customer service. They promised to take care of me, and in the end, I had to call repeatedly and leave messages for Czapala, after he promised to call me back.
Description of Work: I purchased 800 square fee of Wisteria Lane's click and lock Tigerwood flooring for a DIY install.
