Job went well. two persons led by a well trained lead.

Very smoothly and professionally. They arrived on time. They had all tools and equipment needed to do the entire job with no delays or "oh-oh" moments. Took care to do the job correctly the first time.

They were very familiar with condo building so it made the process very easy to work with. Professional and easy to work it. Would hire them again.

Picked it up three days later (barely fit into my Nissan Leaf) and installed it myself. Fit perfectly.

I expected to change the enitre sliding door unitw (glass slider & all). The estimator noted that the Glass door & wall panel were OK, only the screen door needed to be changed. Estimator also recommended a safety lock for added security. Both were installed when they said they'd be and cost was exactly as estimated. I've used this company before and will use them again. Honesty and Integrity ~ harder & harder to find now days. Screens & Things has both!

So happy with this business! I went to their place of business and met with Chelsea. We discussed options and set up a visit for the estimate. Wayne came out to do the estimate and gave me some good suggestions when I asked what he thought. Today Wayne and his partner came out (sorry, I forgot to ask for his name!) to install. They arrived in the 2 hour window I was given, the job was fast, and they cleaned up and left my home beautiful again. Maybe a bit pricier than I thought it would be, but I didn't shop around. They were my first choice and I think I got the quality I paid for!

I went there to find parts for old windows that i wanted to retrofit with newer parts/newer technologies - the person at the desk seemed a bit annoyed at my questions (was working at a computer as i walked in) as i tried to explain the circumstances of my needs, and made it clear that they weren't going to be able to help me on the spot ("it will take 2 or 3 weeks to order parts") and that the dimensions of the parts (which i had measured) weren't going to help ascertain which parts should be ordered ("the size of the part won't help - we have to take pictures of the windows and send them to the supplier") It was clear that replacing the windows would be a 'better' (albeit very expensive) solution. I had dealt with the company several times, many years before, and, additionally, had been recently recommended to Screens and Things by other hardware stores when i went to them, initially, for help. I don't want this to be a blanket condemnation of the company, as i was satisfied in the '90's with their work, but i would only recommend people to them for specific purposes, and not for the 'interactive' assistance that many old-time Hawaii households may need in maintenance of old-time Hawaii residences. Unfortunately, there may not be any other alternatives (;

Without going into detail, there were all kinds of complications in making the arrangements for the work to be done, and this company could not have been more obliging and understanding. They were just wonderful. I couldn't respond to the question about price, because I couldn't even find anyone else to do the job, so I have no basis for comparison-- no other company was willing to obtain the stripping...or else other companies said they'd do it, and never called back. It was really a pleasure to deal with Screens and Things, and although they worked on windows in this particular job, they do many other kinds of work-- doors, shower enclosures, mirrors and more-- and I plan to use them on anything they do that I need!

They replaced the screen only. They were pleasant and did an ok job but they were expensive.

Basically, their service was slow in part because the first installation was with a type of screen for the lanai door that I did not order. They took it back and more than a week later, they installed the right one. Also, on the window screens installation, they had no solution for stopping the screens from blowing out of the window in strong winds. Surely, a professional screen installer would have a solution they could apply immediately. I had to buy a new screen from them upon losing the first because of this problem. I still have no help on resolving the problem.

I ordered a single screen for my home on Wednesday, June 2, 2010. I did this in person and paid for the screen in advance. I was promised the screen on Friday, June 4. I did not hear from a Screens and Things representative on Friday, June 4th so on Saturday, June 5th I phoned to inquire about my order. The gentleman I spoke with said the screen had not been completed as of yet. I was very disappointed as I am due to give birth to my baby on June 13th and driving to town from Hawaii Kai after June 5th is frowned upon by my Doctor. After waiting another 2 days I decided to call and inquire, once again, about my order, a SINGLE screen. On Wednesday, June 9th I phoned at 11AM. I was put on hold and when the representative returned she informed me that she was "running up and down the stairs looking for my order". As she could not find it she asked to return my call "later". Finally at 1245 I was informed via phone that my screen was ready for pick up. My husband picked up the screen. On the screen was a sticker indicating that the screen WAS DUE on June 4. According to this sticker it WAS CONSTRUCTED on June 9th right after I phoned. How long would it have gone unnoticed if I had not called so many times to inquire? The poor completion of a single screen in the time promised was very disappointing. I have had single screens made in the past at City Mill and they have always delivered in the promised time frame. It is well worth the extra $10 to have a screen made by a company who will complete the job in a timely manner.
