The movers showed up at 0930, 30 minutes after the scheduled start time, but in the contract is states you are billed from start time from warehouse to your home. The movers had me sign a contract which also had additional costs for moving boxes, shrink wrap, bubble wrap and paper. My original quote was for two people with an 18ft truck. I had three people show up and offered a good rate for the additional person and it made the move go faster, and a truck I would say was 16 foot long. We ended up making two trips, and finished up at arround 1630. I was figuring a bill of about $900 - $1,000 dollars, but was handed a bill for $1,110. I was charged $40 for one roll of bubble wrap, which costs about $20 at Home Depot, which is where it was from, and $140 for two rolls of shrink wrap, which cost under $70 for four rolls. I'm guessing this is where they try to make up for their lower bid costs for moving. Overall the move went well and I would recommend them to others, just plan ahead and provide your own shrink wrap, boxes, paper and bubble wrap.
Description of Work: We bought a new house and needed a mover to move a three bedroom house from Salt Lake Blvd in Honolulu to Ewa Beach.

I hired this company to move my already packed house based on the price they quoted me over the phone $80 /hr. They showed up 40 minutes early and took their sweet time moving my already packed home a mile away. A job that I predicted would take 5 hrs by a professional moving company took 10 hrs. My husband was deployed at the time of the move and I have two very young children and could not be their to supervise the entire time, so who knows what took so long. After everything was said and done they hit me with a bunch of hidden expenses; boxes, packing tape, packing paper, wrap, etc. All of my stuff was already packed and they decided to pack even more. They put anything that could fit in a box, in a box even if that meant there was only one thing in a box. They wrapped everything and re taped boxes. After all the "packing" they did, there was an extra $600 added on to the price (and they said they didn't even charge me full price). They then asked me to make the check out directly to one of the movers (the one that called with the quote). He also asked if I could pay in cash, which I refused. The worst part is, when I unpacked all my stuff, my $1200 camera was no where to be found. My camera was the last thing I packed because I had been taking hundreds of pictures of my newborn baby for my husband while he was deployed. It was there the day before we moved and it hasn't been seen since, you do the math.
Description of Work: Moved our already packed house from one location to another (about a mile away). Did not unpack anything. Did not need to pack anything, just move it from one location to another.
