sometimes installation of household reconstruction can be frustrating. Because of the constant communication and updates kept me informed on the install. The performed professionally and went smoothly. we are still waiting for hawaiian electric to install our net meter, but since our meter is going backwards, we will be patient and hope they do it soon. We also received a request for electrical inspection dated Dec 28, 2012 as required by the City and County.

Was giving a referral from a friend of mine on Mercury Solar. So since I was in the market of an Electrical Solar Company, I called the number that was given to me and behold I met a godsend person by the name of Reid Furukawa. I cant express on how much he did from day one and still in contact with me regarding my solar. He has gone over and beyond the call of duty when talking about solar, he is so knowledgeable on the system that both my wife and I were comfortable with his presentation and felt like we knew Reid from past experience so we decided to have Mercury Solar do the installation on our home. Mr. Reid Furukawa did all the necssary paperwork from the start to the end of this contract and spent many hours during the installation phase to see how the installation was going. Installation was done quickly on our roof after we paid our deposit for the project. Workers were very talented and focused on getting the job done. Really enjoyed the workers, Huglio, Christian, Curt, Max and Lindsey. Liked the office staff also including Adam and Michael Kim. Couldn't ask for a more professional and talented staff. I thank my lucky stars for going with Mercury Solar. HECO came out and swapped meters soon after I called them. So this is the secret for having the meters swapped quickly; call them. Mr. Reid is very knowledgable on the subject of solar panels and installation. Reid is very friendly and does not put any pressure on the me or my wife listening to his plan. He explained so of the things that the other companies did not explain to me and would have taken money out of my pocket. I would recommend him to all my friends needing solar panels.

We were referred by my sister to salesman and solar consultant Reid Furukawa. He came over and explained everything in easy to understand language; answered all of our questions and sold us on the spot. He is very knowlegable and doesn't use any "bells and whistles" just easy to understand and very easy to talk to. Within a week we were called to schedule installation. Two individuals came to install and again, they too were very polite; and explained everything they were going to do. It only took a half a day and they were done. My wife and I talked with numerous solar system sales companies before selecting Mercury Solar. We talked with the top two on the island and a couple more that were referred to us by friends. The first of the referrals tried to baffle us with his sales pitch. He threw out a lot of tech words and made a few diagrams on a piece of paper. I finally decided I knew as much or more about solar than he did and immediately rejected him from consideration. Another was a good sales person and knowledgeable but he tried to tell us why we did not need both a solar hot water system and solar panels installed. I finally wrangled out of him that the company he worked for did not do solar hot water systems. The cost for solar alone without the solar water heating was more than I thought cost effective. I then talked with the two top solar system providers on Oahu. The top provider is, I'm sure, very good at what they do and I was impressed with him and his product, but they were also the most costly. The second most popular provider could very well have been the one we selected but when the final decision time came, Mercury Solar provided us the best rated solar panels at the best price. After we selected Mercury Solar, we found that we most definitely made the right decision. Mercury Solar's sales representative, Reid Furukawa, is highly professional, and very knowledgeable when it came to his product. He was patient and never once made us feel we were being pressured. He has a down to earth demure that puts you at ease from the first moment you speak with him. I talked one on one with the Mercury Solar installers and was happy to hear that they are school trained in solar installation. The team that was assigned to install our solar system were all very hardworking professionals who took their jobs seriously and were focused on doing the job right the first time. I have nothing but praise for each and every one of the team. The last portion of the system installation that I am eagerly awaiting is the creation of our solar array web page. This should be completed within the next couple of days. The web page provides a display of all our solar panels and will allow us to monitor the immediate output of each of our solar panels. From just monitoring the new net metering meter provided by Hawaiian Electric I can see that unless we are running our two Split Air systems in our home simultaneously, the solar power system is creating more power than we are using. I am posting this in hopes that if anyone reads this, they will come away with the feeling that I am very satisfied with our entire Mercury Solar, solar power system install, and I highly recommend Mercury Solar be one of the companies considered when deciding to go solar.

The overall experience with PV systems was rewarding. A lot of research was done and investigation carried out via the Internet seeking the most up to date information concluded that the best system for me was the most affordable highest wattage panels using a micro inverter system. At the time, June 2012, the highest affordable and available panels in Hawaii were 255 watts. The best inverter system was Enphase micro inverters. The mounting system used was Quick Mount PV. These quality products are readily available with the Hawaii distributors. After determining what I wanted, I began the process of interviewing the various Honolulu Solar providers from the top to bottom as determined by dollar value of installations in 2011. I interviewed the top, middle and bottom providers. In the end, I choose Mercury Solar because they were a bit above the middle of the pack, responsive, flexible and cost effective. Mercury Solar has flexible terms for payment and even do their own in house loans. Mercury Solar was very fast in doing the installation - my time took a month from signing of contract to installation of PV system including micro-inverters. This was getting the permit, the necessary supplies and products and a crew to do the work within a month. When the crew came I already had a preliminary diagram of where the PV panels would be placed on my roof (Southwest and Southeast) and reviewed the placement with Mercury Solar crew. They took measurements and improved on my PV placement to give me better efficiency that was a pleasent surprise - 21 panels on the Southwest side and 15 panels on the southeast. This configuration of panels allows me to expand my system in the furture. The Mercury Solar crew allowed me to inspect the products used on my roof before they were installed and also assured me how the process would be done. The job was done professional and a most proficient manner. My salesperson always follows up on any questions I have and is a great buffer between me and Mercury Solar. The experience with Mercury Solar is both pleasent, friendly and professional. I recommend that any one thinking of PV or Solar installation call Mercury Solar for a fair and reliable price.
