MARU FLOORING

Excellent service. Family run and willing to take time to be sure we got what we wanted. Pricing was good compared to competitors. We had a unique problem in that after existing carpeting and laminate were removed, installers found more up to 3 layers of flooring in some rooms, along with some moisture problems. We then had to spend approximately $15,000 more to have existing flooring removed and a moisture barrier put down. The major part of the $15,000 was the need to use leveling compound to raise the floors in parts of the house (with multiple levels of flooring) to same level as others. Prior to the job, Wally, the owner, had told us leveling compound would cost approx $125/bag and he was very fair throughout the process. (We know that Lowe's charges approx $87/bag). Unfortunately, our job required almost 100 bags. While we were hoping for a break in the cost given our situation, Wally was straightforward and honest. If we had used different installers, not sure if they would have taken short cuts after finding the problems we had under our existing flooring. Something that might have been helpful ahead of time: Lift up the existing carpeting before starting the job - would have easily seen if there was flooring or slab underneath iThe floors look nice and the installers did a good job. Again, service and responsiveness were excellent. One small area at entry to hallway has a gap below the boards, and Wally has offered to fix it. Overall, I would recommend them and most people won't have to deal with what we did.

They did a good job and they are reasonably priced. They are very respectful.
