We needed some drywall work done and H Drywall was one of three companies I contacted for estimates. They were the middle bidder, but I was so impressed with Harry’s (the”H” in H Drywall) on-site visit and his comprehensive proposal that I decided to go with them. I was not disappointed because Harry keeps on top of things and is quick to reply to messages. A bonus was their online payment system which is really convenient and provided instant confirmation of a payment. What truly makes this company worthy of a 5-star rating though are its employees. John, the foreman, is easy to talk to and has so much experience in construction that he solved any problems or challenges that occurred. He always kept us informed of their progress and made sure we were happy with the work they were doing. The rest of the crew Stuart, Derek, Chris, and Evan were all friendly, courteous (always aware that we still lived in the home), and did excellent work. Drywall replacement is messy, but these guys covered everything including the floors and they vacumed daily. The drywall removal uncovered some additional work that needed to be done and H Drywall provided a reasonable estimate to fix the problem. We also had them paint the living room, dining room, and kitchen areas. Thank you Evan for helping us choose the right color! This company, and I mean the whole company, definitely deserves a 5-star rating.

Fantastic company and a delight to work with from start to finish. Small but complicated drywall project requiring expertise and patience. Harry and Stuart were everything you could hope for when having work done in your home. They were on time, kind, great communicators, careful and considerate, their work is gorgeous and they cleaned the area perfectly when they were done. This review is long overdue for H Drywall. This was the second time using them. I had an issue with water leaking onto a lower unit's ceiling due to my tenant running the a/c. The a/c water seeped through the balcony and traveled onto the lower unit's ceiling. This caused staining and other obvious issues. I searched and search for someone to fix the issue. Only a few people returned my call, Harry (owner) being one of them. Out of everyone that did return my call, Harry was the only one that made me feel confident in their ability to do the job. Everyone else made me feel rushed or gave me an insane high-dollar quote. Again, Harry was easy to work with, and the quote provided was VERY reasonable. Let me stress that again, it was very reasonable. I decided to go with H Drywall. Harry asked for all the pertinent information needed to go to the tenant's unit and make the necessary repair. He and his team were on time, did the job properly, and were true professionals. The tenant and the owner were pleased with the work and even commented on how Harry and his team were so professional and that the quality of the repair was top-notch. I was happy because the tenant and the owner were happy. Rewind to a week ago, the same thing happened with my tenant's a/c water causing the same issue. It was brought to my attention and I told the tenant and the owner I would fix it, they were pleased to hear that I would be using H Drywall again. As stated previously, the repair was made, and Harry and his team were once again, awesome! I will suggest them to all my friends and family! Thank you Harry!

Harry and his team of dedicated professionals were amazing from start to finish. From providing a fast and reasonable quote. The ceilings were 20 feet high in some places and they expertly protected the home and custom built scaffolding. They were always on time and were very respectful of the home and occupants. Even thought he nature of this work is very messy and dusty, they did an excellent job of keeping things livable during the week of disruption. They are the drywall choice in Honolulu!

There are 3 things I would highlight about the work of H Drywall: responsiveness, expertise and professionalism. Also (very important) - friendliness. It's not easy to find all of these in one company! Harry and his crew have been indispensable in getting us through several stages of custom projects in a timely manner. He's been quick to respond to our requests for help right from the start. The quality of his work is exceptional and we were delighted to find that he does painting as well as drywall since we need some specialized painting for a staircase project. Every member of Harry's crew has been thorough, meticulous, and courteous ensuring our satisfaction at every step. We continue to rely on HDrywall as we work through a series of projects. I can't overstate how lucky we feel to have found this company. I'm so grateful that Harry has been willing to work us into his busy schedule when we needed him. Had some hiccups due to a plumbing issue we were not aware of, so with Harry’s advice, we had that fixed before having the team finish the job the next day. Definitely recommend!

Harry, is a consummate pro. I live on the mainland and wanted to find a company to remove the popcorn ceiling in our condominium. I spoke to several contractors who specialize in this work and Harry was the most informative and responsive. He told me exactly what to expect and gave me a specific start and finish date. A detailed proposal was sent over and progress pictures were sent regularly. Harry communicated every step of the way, did excellent work and finished the job on the date promised. This is the way pros work. If you're looking for an honest, intelligent, hard working professional, I'd highly recommend Harry and his team at H Drywall!

The company was very professional on time helpful and worked with me

Harry and his team were the BEST investment we made for our home renovation! For scope, we were basically redoing all the walls and ceilings of an old home, 2000 sq ft ceiling work + way more than that for the walls. Also some weird stuff like wrapping wooden beams and posts in the house. We worked with a bunch of other people for our home renovation project (electrician, plumber, main contractor, etc), but Harry was by far the most professional, detail-oriented, and honest guy to work with. Communication - From the start, Harry was very prompt and excellent with communication, which is HUGE when you are working with a million different people and trying to figure out what's what. He scheduled a walk through within 1-2 days of our initial call (which was mostly limited due to our schedule). He gave us a quote within a week. We had a lot of questions along the way, and he was always very prompt to respond either via e-mail or text. Quality of work - I'm not a drywall expert, but our contractor was very impressed with the work they did! And our contractor is hard to impress. His team worked very efficiently, and cleaned up really well after they were done; they left it better than they found it! Also important was he always gave us his honest opinion about what was necessary or not (how smooth the ceiling vs. walls have to be). Never felt like he was trying to upsell us or anything. Bonus - We also got into a bad situation with one of our other contractor/vendors. We ended up mentioning it to Harry because basically the other vendor threatened to stop working for us, which would have impacted Harry's timeline for drywall. He is such a good guy, he kind of coached us through it and offered suggestions for how we could resolve it. Gosh darn it Harry, you are such a good man, and an even better business owner. If you've read this far, just hire him.

Harry Oneha and his employees of HDrywall, LLC did a fantastic job on replacing our living room, dining room, kitchen and garage ceiling drywall with painting (after our roof was replaced). Despite a structural framing added repair, he was able to stay slightly under budget from the original estimate and even completed the project about 2 days earlier than originally planned. All of his staff were extremely polite, professional, hard-working & trustworthy. I felt very comfortable having them work in the house without our presence. We were also so appreciative of their flexibility to work around our last minute schedule changes.

The whole process went excellent from start to finish. Harry returned my initial phone within an hour, scheduled the site visit within 2 days and completed the work within one week. I would use HDrywall again and will recommend them to my friends.

I've had the pleasure of working with Harry Oneha's drywall company over the last couple of months. Harry and his crew Evan and Stewart were very professional, very skilled and respectful. It's obvious they take pride in their work. I've had several jobs done at my home - a huge drywall repair and retexturing to a messed up ceiling. Several rooms painted and 5 house doors restored. They do it all. And they do it well. I highly recommend Harry and his team to anyone that wants quality work done in their home. I made the mistake of using someone else for a small drywall job because it was cheaper and I regret it. Harry's guys would of done a much better job hands down. Won't make that mistake again. So, if you love your home and want quality work done call Harry Oneha. You won't regret it...

Great! Harry was a pleasure to work with and I cannot say enough about his team. They analyzed the situation professionally, recommended a plan of action and executed it quickly, with great care and attention to detail. Harry was easy to work with, flexible with regard to timing of the work and the subsequent payment plan. Billing was expertly handled. I would certainly turn to HDrywall again and highly recommend them to others.

Price rated "B" because it's the industry standard price, so it's a little "high", but I wouldn't rate it a "C" since Harry offered me a slight discount on the labor. Quality rated "B" because there was a little mess that was left, and some minor painting mistakes like painted outlets. The paint on the floor can be cleaned, as well as some sticky residue which was also left. Everything else rated "A". Fast all around, and contractors showed up exactly when they said they would and did what they said they would do. I would recommend them or use their services again.

Harry fit me in quickly to his work schedule, he and his crew were friendly, professional and accommodating, they were careful not to damage anything in the process, and I am very satisfied with the result.

Harry checked in a couple of times as the start date slipped. He was always agreeable to delays. Came when he said he would, extended a wall as agreed, did a good job. TJ did a nice job on the finish--it matches perfectly. There was miscommunication with the electrician about a ceiling light. Harry came the next day and found the wiring in the ceiling for no change. I'm happy.

Thank you Harry! He was very quick to call and schedule a time to come in. When he did come, he and his crew were very professional and the work done was top notch. There turned out to be more damage than the initial look revealed but they were able to replace and paint the soffit where you can't even tell there was work done. Great communication and I'd highly recommend and will give them a call if/when I have any drywall issues again! Mahalo!

We just finished an entire house drywall mud and tape project with Harry and his team. Our house is old with lots of difficult geometry, odd cuts and other Inoue challenges, most contractors did not want and would not take our job. Harry and his team were awesome the gave us a great finished product in a timely manner at a reasonable price. The team communicated the entire time and adjusted for our odd/last min requests. Being first time home owners, they took their time explaining and working with us and our schedule. We could not be happier. Mahalo

I located this company through Angie’s List and arranged for them to replace 5 regular door and frames and 2 sliding doors and frames for 2 closets. As scheduled, they showed up, started removal of the doors and frames and also picked up the new doors and frames for installation. The team worked efficiently and quickly. Installation also went quickly. They had floor coverings for any debris, etc., and cleaned up after all the doors were installed. They also installed the colonial trim around the doors and any place they removed the old trim. They did an excellent job for removal and installation of all the doors and frames. The workers were very friendly and easy to work with. Then the painters came as scheduled and worked efficiently and quickly also. They did an excellent job of painting all the doors and trim. They came back the next day and completed a second coat of paint on all the doors and frames. Cleanup was very light due to their care in doing their job. The painters were also very friendly and easy to work with. Overall, this company and their personnel are outstanding and I would hire them anytime.

Fine. A little expensive. $900. For day & a half of work.

Harry's crew was very punctual, polite and professional. They got the ceiling up and the first coat of tape and mud done on the first day. A couple of days later they sanded and then finished the job with another coat of mud and sanding. All was done in an extremely professional manner and the job looked great when they finished.
