jimmy walked the entire perimeter of the house and ran his hands over the walls to test paint adhesion(?)
the house is in bad need of painting, the original and quot;coatand quot; was in 1993 - although the color has faded tremendously, there is no flaking or peeling but much chalking
jimmy was thorough in explaining what he would do in preparing the surfaces prior to painting and his estimate sheet detailed the work he mentioned:
1) pressure wash
2) caulking / filling of holes
3) 2 coats of primer
4) finish coat

due to budget constraints, we had to put this painting project on hold last year but are planning to move forward in the next month or so - with Deep Purple Painting Co

for the five day project, Day 1 was the power wash of the entire exterior of the home. Deep Purple crew members moved all the items from around the home and power washed the entire home to include below grade on the gravel french drians around the home. This also inlcuded the taping of areas not to be painted. Day 2 was the first coat of paint using a spray gun. The crew handling the spray gun were working in windy weather with intermittent rain and using small sweeps with the sprayer successfully got everything painted with no over sprty.
Day 3: Included touch up spray painting along with the first coat of paint that was applied by brush strokes.
Day 4: Second coat of paint were it did not meet the contractors standard.
Day 5: The final touch up and cleaing of all the exterior windows, a very nice touch.
