Well here's the deal. The owners were nice, and we really wanted things to go well. But they didn't. I'll give you the facts and you decide. First the quality of the granite. The top surface has multiple areas where epoxy was added to fill in the dings, and doesn't match very well, on the corners as well. It is a busy perza gold and I guess they didn't expect one to notice. I was told by the owner this type of granite normally has "dings". Funny, perza gold in other granite stores is smooth as glass. The granite was laid on 15\32 thickness plywood, not industry standard. Floppy in fact. Furthermore, the granite was shimmied one quarter inch off the surface of the plywood then glued. I noticed that only when we went to install the stove. This was probably done to make up for the thin plywood and still achieive a minimum height for the appliances. Finally, I was reassured it would work to lay hardwood bamboo on cement without glueing or nailing to a wood sub floor, i.e. float full hard wood. Now everything I read said no, and I should have stuck to my guns . But they convinced me it if I smoothed out the old thinset, it would be fine. Well the floor is a joke, and not cheap. That will have to be re-done on my dime. The problem is you don't really catch on to things until it is too late. The cabinets are decent for the money, and solid. I don't think the owners are pulling a fast one, they are decent people. They just have a very different sense of what is acceptable. I don't think they noticed the epoxy filled granite, it was probably sent to them like that. But to think shimmied granite off the plywood is acceptable for less then 2cm thick granite is disturbing. It would have been stronger to just to put the granite on top of the cabinets, though not ideal. Oh well. We've all been through it. You try to make the best decision at the time.

They were terrible. I always wanted to tell people about them because I don't want that to happen to others. They just didn't put the cabinets right. I had to have somebody come in and fix them after. They left us a huge mess. They broke our microwave and they didn't tell us. As soon as, I opened one of the doors, it fell apart. They took the money off even when we still had things to do.
