+ -1 moreScheduled appointment over a week in advance. Was charged extra because my location was too far for them, even though I am centrally located and easy to get to. I agreed to pay extra because I needed their services. On the day of the appointment, she was a no show no call at the specified time. I called her and left a voice message. She called back 10 minutes later. She said she forgot the appointment and had planned other things. Then went on to say she would not be there that day or any other day. Completely unprofessional! Why not just tell me you're not available on my first call? I could have found someone else. Instead I take time from my extremely busy schedule to be there on that day, and accomplish nothing. Now I must start all over again and try to find another 3 hours to put aside for these services. The worst customer service and attitude. My advice.... find someone else!

Description of Work: karen, who was very good and took care of my home for a couple of years, moved to the mainland and sold her business to a person named sylvia, who was one of karen's occasional helpers. sylvia was both demanding and unprofessional. she called to change our appointment twice, and the third time she did not call and simply did not show . rather than ask me how i wanted the work done, she told me how and what she would do. she exhibited an exaggerated opinion about her value in her fee schedule.

+ -1 moreBusy Bees arrived on time and did an excellent job from top to bottom. I am a very picky person and very detail oriented . They exceeded my expectations. It took 5 hours but they worked continuously.

+ -1 moreKaren has a key to my house and almost always lets her self in. I have never had anything missing. I know sometime she stays longer to make sure the job was done right at no extra charge to me. I just love karen!

+ -1 moreHow did it go overall? I continue to retain Karen and she continues to clean for me. She will be back next week.
Description of Work: The Busy Bees clean my residence twice a month on a regular basis. We agree on the scope of the work and the cost in advance. If I was willing to pay more and Karen stayed longer, I'm sure it would be spotless because Karen takes pride in her work. I read the first review and its clear that the reviewer had used Karen before and was happy with her work. For that particular job it sounds like there was poor communication. Karen has been cleaning for me for years. If there's a problem I point it out and she takes care of it.Occasionally I pay extra for windows; she does a very good job with windows but I am not willing to pay for it on every visit. She is also honest. My husband tends to leave the coins from his pocket on top of his dresser. Karen will point it out to me and my husband has never had a problem with missing coins. We have lived in the same place for 20 years and so have not had a move out.

+ -1 moreThere was no furniture in the apartment yet it took them 9 hours to clean and charged a fortune. They were told that it was a move-out so the place needed only to look clean. They went far overboard and then, on top of it all, when we went back to the unit after the cleaning, we found doors open, lights on all over and the refrigerator was back on (after we had turned it off). When I questioned the price, they got surly and defensive. I will never use them again and I suggest you not either.
