What a bad experience! What a bad attitude! Wayne if you ever read this, then Yes I would spend $15 to make $100. That's net $85 for 1 hour of work. If the job took 1.5 hours, that's still over $40/HR! Not only that, had Wayne done a good job, there was another job pending. And additional leads that would lead to more work! But will I ever call Wayne in the future? No way!
Description of Work: I called Wayne and asked if he could complete an eash job that would probably take 1-1.5 hours. I explained that the work involved painting 1 wall of a small bedroom and recaulking a shower. Wayne asked how much did I think the job should cost. I asked him how much did he want to charge. Big mistake! Wayne said about $200.00. I said I was thinking along the lines of $100. If he finished in 1 hour that would be a rate of $100/Hr. To my surprise and shock, Wayne proceeded to give me a lecture on the value of spending $15 (cost of gas) to make $100. He asked me if I would spend $15 to make $100. I was so shocked I was silent. Now that I can think again, "YES Wayne, I would spend $15 to make $100! Everyday, all day!" After he finished his lecture, he then said if I needed help in the future to call him. What a joke!
