Air Source is the same company who put in my original air-conditioner. Kristy and Kevin are very professional and they are totally responsive to requests and individual needs. I so appreciate their professionalism and the guys who installed were on time, knowledgeable and cleaned up after they were finished. Excellent.

Air Source was one of 3 companies we approached for bids to install a split-air AC system for our home. We knew we wanted a Mitsubishi system, so we focused on Mitsubishi Diamond contractors. Air Source's bid was comparable to another company, both of which we felt would have been good choices based on reputation, interview and cost. The reasons we selected Air Source were: Kristi, the office manager, was upfront and honest from the beginning regarding installation timeframe and made us aware that they would not be able to schedule an installation earlier than a month out due to a full lineup of projects. The owner, Kevin, actually did the site visit and consultation, so he was able to answer all our questions on the spot, including recommending locations of the blowers and compressors, size of units, installation process, etc. The other companies had project managers / estimators, who were helpful but not able to answer all our questions so we would have had to sign a contract, after which a designer could come out and address some of those questions. In addition, Kevin committed to having two crews on site and we felt better knowing he would actually be doing our installation. Air Source was able to schedule us earlier due to a gap in their schedule. Kevin had estimated 2 days for the job, and with 2 crews, it took just under a day and a half. The crews were polite, clean, and efficient, and because I work at home, accommodating and flexible in working around my schedule. The location of the external conduits and compressors were well thought out to minimize aesthetic distraction. Kristi was also very helpful in assisting with the documentation for the HECO rebates.

Excellent work.

We wanted two AC units installed in our home. The staff at Air Source responded to our initial call right away. They answered all of our questions and scheduled an appointment to view our property. Air Source works solely with Mitsubishi systems. They explained why and told us the benefits of the systems. We ordered Mr. Slim Systems. They did a thorough assessment of the spaces we wanted to cool and gave their recommendations on the size of the system we needed and explained why. We decided to use their services and they scheduled our installation for the following week! They told us step by step what they would be doing. When they mentioned that they would coordinated the electrical work I told them that I had additional work that needed to be done in the house. They highly recommended their electrician and gave me their number to see if the additional work could be done on the same day. I was surprised to learn that all of the work could be done in one day. On that day they arrived on time and were totally professional. Their electrician was also very good and accommodated our additional work. Air Source was fast and neat. They performed both installations within 5 hours. They were very clean and created very little intrusions to our home. When they completed the work they thoroughly went through all of the features of the system as well as the maintenance of the units. We are so happy we went with Air Source. I have used other air conditioning companies in the past and they were not as fast and I didn't feel they were as good as Air Source.

I called to make an appointment left a voice message. They got back to me within the same day. Scheduled an appointment for next available day which was that Friday at 0730 in the morning. They were right on time. The technicians were polite and knowledgeable of the A/C systems that I have. Within half an hour they knew what was wrong with both A/Cs. One had a fried control and power board and the other a fried power board. They were going to get the parts to fix that day but I was not able to stay home til they return. So I rescheduled and on their second visit they arrived on time 0730. They came prepared with the parts they thought was broken and extra parts in case there was unforeseen damages. The repairs, cleaning and servicing of the A/C systems took about 2 hours.

Unsatisfactory. They did not go by the property or call back, even though it was a job valued at more than $4,000 !!!

I contacted three different a/c companies for estimates. One company emailed me back but never followed through to set up an estimate visit. Another company did come out, but the estimator didn't seem interested in educating or guiding me as to the best purchase or a/c unit installation location - he just seemed to want my money. Their estimate was also much higher. But then Kevin Goo of Air Source came out and we were pleasantly surprised. He really examined the site conditions, and recommended we not install the a/c unit where we thought it might work, but pointed out another location that would work much better and the various reasons why. That location has been great, by the way; the air flows throughout the main living area (open concept living room, dining room, kitchen, tv room). Kevin's recommended location also shortened up the required length of the hoses to the outside unit, both lowering the price and increasing the unit's efficiency/effectiveness in cooling, something I didn't know about until Kevin educated me. That sort of guidance is invaluable, and as you can see it saved us money and increased the likelihood we'd be happy with our a/c unit. Kristi in the office was also very professional in handling the money/deposit and keeping us informed as to our appointments. Especially in busy times (summer!) you'll have to wait for installation day, which for us was about five weeks. Then a crew of four guys, including Kevin, showed up and had everything professionally installed and checked out in about four hours or so. He also noticed a slight crack in a trim piece on the unit, pointed it out to us without us even knowing about it at first, and ordered then later replaced that piece. The unit works great - real powerful and QUIET!! :-) 10/6/2011: I just noticed they have a web site now: http://www.airsourceac.com/ I definitely still highly recommend them.
