John did a fabulous job, did a lot of repairs, our house looks awesome!

John did an excellent job! He responded very quickly when I contacted him. I described the project to him (the paint on the frames was peeling badly and some of the wood on the frames was exposed. The windows were also very high off the ground). I needed to return to the mainland while he was scheduled to do the work. He was very good at communicating with me by email. He also sent me photos of his progress. When I checked his work after I returned, I was pleased. He did an excellent job.

I contacted John on a Sunday; he replied within the hour and came by to have a look at the job later that same afternoon. Not being an emergency, the work was scheduled by mutual agreement for later in the week. New toilet would not fit due to configuration of plumbing connections. John handled the situation with aplomb — restoring the old fixture to working condition —and worked much beyond his estimated hours for the job without increasing his fee. Knowledgeable and professional . . . . would hire again.

John was was very professional. Always kept me informed on everything. His work is excellent and his prices are very fair. I highly recommend him you won't be disappointed. I will be using him again for future jobs.

this project went well. The project had weather set backs but they handled. It took longer than we thought but well worth the wait. The deck was very rotten not only floor but railing. He was determined to make it beautiful. He attacked the flooring even if the fitting was hard, the railing he searched out the proper hardware to make it safe. He recommended the best materials needed. He patched the rotten railing with bonds. He and I worked well, he always keeping me informed about what was to be expected and what the next steps was. He pressure washed house and painted. He is neat did not have paint all over. He put attention to the detail of door, doorknobs, frames.windows, so move wth ease, was Initially stuck from previous paint job. I love looking at my house now that he did a excellent job.

John came to give me an estimate for various maintenance issues for my home. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and thorough in his evaluation of my issues. He took time with me, followed up well, and gave me helpful referrals for others who could help me when his schedule was full. I trust him to perform work well and on time. Most of all, I am impressed with his integrity. I am looking forward to having him work on my house when schedules permit.

Keoni (Jean) delivers excellent customer service. He was easy to work and communicate with. Had helpful input and feedback and good ideas he suggested. He did a great job and wanted to be sure that we were happy with his workmanship -- we definitely were. We are definitely going to call on him again and again!

The time had come to get my 10 year old house cleaned up and painted. Looking online for local area painting contractors I discovered John Schnetzler and his company Keoni’s Professional Services. Reading the reviews of his previous work I felt confident that he may be the contractor to do the job at the high standards that I wanted, so I asked him to submit an estimate. The scope of the job was to thoroughly clean the exterior of the house, install a new lanai ceiling, repaint the exterior siding and trim along with the garage door a side metal door and the exposed portion of the concrete foundation below the siding, refinish a weather worn but beautiful solid wood front door, and to solve the issue of a couple areas where mynahs persisted in nesting under the eaves (his solution to this was brilliant!). John was very responsive and professional when I made the initial estimate appointment, and his estimate, while not the lowest, was very competitive. Based on his demeanor and the previous reviews I offered him the job. John thoroughly answered all of my questions from the initial meeting and continued to do so throughout the process; in fact communication throughout the whole process was excellent. Once John and his crew got started the time to completion was about 3 weeks. John told me that they wouldn’t leave the project until I was completely satisfied with all the work; he held absolutely true to that promise. John and his crew did an excellent job. The work was meticulous, detailed, and methodical, all done to achieve a great quality result. John and his crew also discovered and repaired some minor damage and gaps as they went along, all of which were outside of the scope of the original job, again to ensure a superb final outcome of the project. John and his crew were definitely highly skilled in their workmanship, but also punctual, polite, and customer-oriented. The prep work was amazing, as was the care they all took to ensure that water spray, dust, and paint splatters, etc. were never an issue, and they left everything organized and cleaned up before leaving the site every day. End result: the house now looks better than when it was new, and I couldn’t be more pleased. I would highly recommend John Schnetzler and Keoni’s Professional Services for their impeccable quality and focus on customer satisfaction.

All went very well. Good work, very thorough, precise, and prompt. Communication was good; we always knew when they were coming, or not coming, depending on weather and other circumstances. They left everything organized and cleaned up everyday.

Keoni's Professional Services continues to bite off one horrible task after another to help restore my Hawaiian Beaches house in Pahoa which had been totally abused by T & C Realty mismanagement and tenant abuse. John had to remove the heavily torn and urine ridden carpet from all rooms and the stairway leading up to a loft area and then clean and put down three coats of heavy floor paint, just to remove the horrible odors and prepare the surface for a new floor treatment involving both linoleum and carpet reinstall. In the process he also cleaned and restored all the black metal window frames and installed new sockets throughout and replaced window screens, etc. and also prepared the walls for repainting. All this was done in a timely fashion with plenty of pictures sent my way to Los Angeles so I could see the progress being made. I would highly recommend John for any kind of restoration work on property because he can be totally trusted to do the job correctly and in a professional manner.

It went beautifully. These built-in-place bathroom counters are tricky because the are attached to the built-in cabinets. The demo was done carefully to ensure the cabinets were not harmed, as we wanted to keep them After the installation, John custom built a side splash and painted the back wall. John really knows what he is doing, so all the plumbing went smoothly. I'm never using anyone else as I renovate this house: So far he has also power washed and painted the complete exterior, painted the complete interior, built and installed new doors, and toilet for the second bathroom. Lastly, John knows all the best tradesmen in East Hawai'i Island, so he was able to connect me to a top knotch landscape maintenance professional. D. Kai

TRAVELED TO HAWAII IN DECEMBER TO THE BIG ISLAND ON THE HILO SIDE TO VISIT MY TWO HOUSES IN HAWAIIAN BEACHES TO CHECK ON THEM. CURRENTLY BOTH WERE RENTED THROUGH T & C REALTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY. PAYING MORTGAGES AND INSURANCE AND TAXES ON BOTH HOUSES. ONE HOUSE HAD BEEN TAKEN OVER BY A HOARDER TENANT WHO HAD FILLED THE DRIVEWAY WITH BOXES AND TARPES, ETC. UGH. THE SECOND AND ONCE MOST BEAUTIFUL HOUSE HAD BEEN UTTERLY NEGLECTED IN THE TWO YEARS TIME SINCE I HAD LAST SEEN IT. THERE WAS MOLD, MILDEW, ROT, TERMITES ETC. AND THE YARD HAD RECENTLY BEEN TRIMMED WITH A CHAIN SAW. I WAS TOTALLY DESTROYED BY THESE VISUALS. I CONTACTED ANGIE'S LIST AND BECAME A MEMBER IN PUNA, HI SO I COULD POSSIBLY FIND SOMEONE LONG DISTANCE, AS I LIVE IN LOS ANGELES, TO HELP RESTORE MY HOUSE TO ITS ONCE BEAUTIFUL STATE. LUCKY ME, THE SECOND CONTACT WAS JOHN SCHNETZLER OF KEONI PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN HILO. JOHN CAME TO MY COMPLETE RESCUE. HE LAID OUT A PLAN OF ATTACK WHICH STARTED WITH REPAIRING THE LANAI BOTH FRONT AND BACK YARD STAIRS AND THE LANAI ITSELF WHICH WRAPPED AROUND THE ENTIRE HOUSE. HE REPLACED ROTTING WOOD AND REPAIRED THE STAIRS AND PAINTED EVERYTHING AND IT NOW LOOKS BRAND NEW. I WILL BE TRAVELING TO HILO IN EARLY MAY AND JOHN WILL MEET ME AT THE HOUSES TO DISCUSS THE NEXT COURSE OF ACTION. I AM SO GRATEFUL THAT HE HAS BEEN A TAKE CHARGE AND DO A GREAT JOB KIND OF GUY. I'M KIND OF SORRY TO WRITE THIS REVIEW BECAUSE HE WILL PROBABLY BECOME MUCH BUSIER NOW THAT I HAVE SHARED MY POSITIVE OPINION OF HIS WORK. HOWEVER, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO SAY. HE IS OUTSTANDING IN HIS KNOWLEDGE OF RENTAL PROPERTY IN HAWAII AND THE ABILITY TO KEEP IT FROM SLIDING DOWN HILL MAINTENANCE WISE.
