Alternative Energy Resources Inc

It went great! Can not say enough about how well it went. I had used Alternative Energy Resources Inc. 10 years ago to do my solar hot water system and was very pleased with them for several reasons which I will get into later. When I made the decision to do a photovoltaic system I looked at several other companies. Alternative Energy Resources Inc. was cheaper than two and about the same as the third. I chose them and I am so glad I did. Barbara and Wendy in the office took care of almost everything from there on out and walked me through the few things I needed to do. They went so far as to explain and fill out the tax forms for the state and federal tax credits and to explain how the Envoy Monitor worked and how to go to the internet to monitor my systems performance. The installers could not have been more pleasant and professional. Our roof was over 30 years old and although we had not had any problems with it, I was unsure about putting a PV system on an old roof so I had the roof replaced first. The roofers called two to three weeks early and wanted to start the next day (long story why). I called Steven at Alternative Energy Resources Inc. and he sent his people out the next day to move the solar hot water panels to another area of the roof so the roofers could replace the roof under the panels. When the roofers had finished the area under the panels Steven at Alternative Energy Resources Inc. had his people come back to return the solar water panels so the roofers could finish. As soon as the roofers were finished Alternative Energy Resources Inc. came out and installed the PV system in two days. Then we had to wait a few days for the building inspection, the power company inspection and the new net metering meter to be installed by the power company. When all that was done I turned on the system and all was good. It has been about a month now and everything is working great. One last comment. When we did our Solar hot water system 10 years ago I ask Steven from Alternative Energy Resources Inc. about repainting our metal roof before the installation and he said it was a good idea and even talked me through the process and then waited for me to finish. He could have just said it's not necessary and made the sale much sooner. This is just another example of why I feel that Steven has his customers' best interest at heart.

We had a great experience. Steve was very helpful and made the process very simple. We were able to get our system approved, installed and working within 4 months. We had a few installation issues since we have an older home. They were addressed and resolved. Steve went out of his way to make us feel important and more like friends than clients. We have had our system for 6 months now and have had no problems, even on the rainy days. We are still in contact with Steve and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone.
