This project should have taken a week or two, but he never finished the last part of the project (tile in front of house). He was fired because of no show and I had to hire another contractor. The project started of good with the concrete slab and tile being laid. The pergola was finished, but didn't look of good quality and I was told by the contractor a permit was not required for the pergola, because it was not attached to the structure of the house. In addition, he told me we could erect the pergola without prior home owners permission because he knew the guy on the board. Basically, he told me we can start and they will approve it while we are building. However, once it was built the association didn't approve it because we needed a permit. I told the contractor to tear it down and that I didn't want to deal with that aspect of the project anymore. He proceeded to tile the front steps to the house. It took him over a month to even complete 80 percent of the project and then never showed up to finish it. After multiple calls daily to him, I hired a new contractor The contractor never returned calls, rarely showed up when he said he would, and then would ask for money ahead of schedule. I would pay him out of kindness because he said he said someone died in his family. On the days he would ask for money he would usually put in a full days work, but then I would never see or hear from him for weeks. I suspect he blows his money and then doesn't have money to finish the job until he gets an initial payment for a new job from someone else. Finally, one afternoon I showed up at home and him, his wife, and daughter were swimming in my pool. I would of said "ok" if he asked, but it was unprofessional. Do not use this guy you'll regret it.

They did cement and grouting. They provided poor services. The work is very sloppy and uneven, and they lacked attention to detail. Finally, they cashed a deposit check for 3400.00 they should not have cashed. They received a certified check in the same amount to render all payments made. The deposit check should have been returned to me a month ago. I tried to resolve the issue myself, when I called them they said it wasn't cashed and it wasn't on their account. I have a copy of the check that has their name on it as being cashed. I've already filed a complaint with the BBB.
