Description of Work: moved furniture for storage & restorer in Asheville, NC to Morganton, Ga

Description of Work: It was an excellent experience. Clean truck, professional personnel, loaded and delivered as agreed to. The men who did the loading and the unloading (same 2 men) were professional, efficient and very personable.

Description of Work: Dennis and his young partner (the big guy) did outstanding work on both ends of the move. When our home is completed we'll call Men on the Move for the final leg. Extremely pleased with our experience.

Description of Work: Move from Atlanta, GA to Ellijay, Ga.

Description of Work: They showed up early but didn't recognize they had reached our address and left. Showed up 20 minutes later. We walked them through the house and showed them the furniture and appliances we wanted to have moved. They went downstairs. The next thing we know, the van is driving away. They left without a word to us, EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. We had to call and leave messages to find out what was going on. The driver called back and said they didn't like the smell in the house. The house has an unfinished basement with concrete floor and has a typical damp basement smell. There were litter boxes down there but those had just been cleaned out the day before. He claimed there was a pervasive urine smell. Our cats are fixed and only use their litter boxes. The concrete floor was dirty, yes, because we have been MOVING and going in and out downstairs. Apparently Men on the Move only wants to move things from houses that have been cleaned for them or don't have people actually living in them. They left us high and dry with no options, and a move-out day approaching. We moved here from Belmont a year ago and had three different moving companies assess our home before we selected one. Not ONE of them mentioned any odor problem, and we had the same cats. This man had the gall to say that by moving our piano, dressers, etc., that his moving blankets would be permeated by urine smell and it was simply untrue. We live here. We would know if there was urine on our things and would certainly not leave something like that on them.

Description of Work: Physically picked up, carried, secured and moved all of our furnishings and boxes we packed ourselves,to our new home.

Description of Work: This is my second time of using Men on the Move. I originally use them back in March 2005. Then again in November 2010. The customer service representative was very friendly and attentive while on the phone. She gathered the information of the date and time of when we wanted to move our office furniture our of our office. We needed to move the items to two different locations. As this was in the same city there was no extra charge. The men arrived at assessed our furniture and other items which were massive and heavy with some still containing business files. The men covered all the items and padded those that were very fragile. They moved and loaded each item with great care. The move was made with little to no effort on our parts.
