I have used two structural engineers in the past, both of whom were competent, but neither gave me a straight answer for my problems. When our new home required the opinion of a structural engineer I was skeptical of what I would get for my money. Hands-down Stephan was the best I've ever used. Not only was his assessment made after a great deal of investigating, but he was able to teach me what I was looking at and gave me a written report the same day. I would not hesitate for one minute to call Stephan back to my house if I ever had another need of an engineer's services. Pick him - you cannot go wrong.

I hired Vest to examine a home I was buying; there were issues found during the general home inspection that might have been dismissed as acceptable settling. Stephan Tremblay met me on-site to examine the chimney and the garage lintel in question. Although limited to visual inspection only, he was able to provide me with a very understandable report that clearly indicated that both issues were NOT normal settling. His recommendations gave the owner what she needed to engage the home's builder. His PE agreed with Stephan's assessment on all counts and so the builder is now fixing both the chimney and garage support beam! Thanks, Stephan!!
