I was remodeling two bathrooms and a master bedroom. He came out and removed the wallpaper and disposed of it. I had other people come in to do the tile, cabinet, and utility work, and a month later let Don know when I was ready to have the painting complete. We schedule a date and time and he showed up promptly. He was ready with drop clothes etc. Everything looks GREAT, and I am getting ready to work on other rooms. Don has given me the estimates, and had made suggestions on what to do. Also, if he was running late he always gave me a call to let me know the situation. He is a trusted professional and I highly recommend his work ethics and professionalism.

Don did a great job! Both spaces look absolutely wonderful! Don was incredibly professional, courteous and responsive throughout the entire process. He responded quickly to a request for an estimate, came out & gave a fair price & showed up as agreed on the day work was to start. All work was completed in a timely fashion & Don kept his work area & my house neat & tidy. I can't recommend him highly enough -- it was so nice to have a house project happen without any complications & we are absolutely thrilled with the results!

Working with Don was one of my best experiences with a contractor. He did exactly what he said he would do and we are very pleased with the result.

Paper was not pre-pasted, so the application of adhesive was required. Don spent half the day doing this job for us, and his care & attention to detail are the very reason we called him back again. He is punctual, communicative, and very talented at what he does. Thanks Don!

I was very nervous about finding the right person to hang some expensive grasscloth wall covering that I spent weeks to find. After researching Angie's List and talking to Don about my concerns, he assured me that he was very confident in his ability to hang the wall covering since he had quite a bit of experience in doing so. He also shared his concerns about grasscloth so there would be no surprises on my part. I was very impressed with his outstanding reviews from others on Angie's List and decided to hire him to do the job. Don was very professional and did a fantastic job hanging the wall covering in a timely manner. Should I have future needs for his expertise, I will not hesitate to call on him again, AND I highly recommend his services to anyone else in need.

Brilliant! I am absolutely delighted with how the work turned out - beautifully matched patterns and seams invisible. Don helped me estimate quantities needed, providing recommendations along the way (ie, online calculators may only take into consideration the square footage rather than the number of "drops" required, and splicing in the middle of a wall doesn't look good). He arrived on time, was very pleasant and professional, quick and efficient, and the work is excellent. I could not be more pleased. Highly recommend!

I thought he did a good job. It was my first time having wallpaper installed so he gave me some "dos and don'ts" regarding touching it, etc. He estimated it would take several hours but he actually didn't take as long as he originally thought.

Don is wonderful and I would not consider dealing with anyone else. This is the second project he has helped me with and his work is perfect. On a personal level, Don is a delight to deal with and when he leaves - you feel like you have made a new friend. If there is such a thing as a perfect vendor experience, this was it! In the process of remodeling/redecorating my condominium, I eventually needed a wallpaper vendor. I found Don on Angie's List and called him to discuss the project. He was able to quote me a price over the phone, and we set up a date and time for him to put up the wallpaper. He was not only on time, but a perfect "guest" to have in my home. He took great care of my furniture and belongings, treating them as if they were his own. Don listened to music on an iPod, but used earphones so that I was not disturbed in any way; I barely knew he was there. When Don was finishing, I asked him for a referral for someone to install the grab bars, mirrors and towel rings in the hall bathroom that he had just wallpapered. He informed me that he also provided those services. We agreed on a price, and he told me that he would be back the next afternoon, calling me when he was on the way. In the meantime, he picked up the necessary hardware and was back at my home the next afternoon as discussed. Again, I barely knew he was there! Not only is Don meticulous in his work, but he is a very caring person. Our condominium association is putting together a list of vendors that we have used and would recommend to our neighbors. Don is at the top of my list of recommended vendors. I appreciate him so much and cannot say enough good things about him.

Mr. Moncrief was very responsive, went right out to our home and gave us an estimate to hang a wall map. He was able to do it within the following week and did a beautiful job. He was very professional and we are very pleased with his work.

Don was great. He called me back right away to schedule an estimate. He correctly measured and told me how many rolls of wallpaper to buy. He showed up at the date and time he said he would. Wallpaper hanging can be a messy job. Don was fantastic. He was QUICK, CLEAN, and VERY NICE. I trusted him in our home. He did a great job hanging the paper, and cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely recommend his services and will use him again in the future.

Don encountered more issues with my bathroom walls than he expected, but I wasn?t surprised as the original wallpaper in my house had been hung over unprepared walls. Removal created a mess but Don gave us a couple of options to consider and executed the job flawlessly and timely. The cost was even less than originally estimated. (When does that happen?) This young man is terrific to work with. His positive, can do attitude is refreshing and the quality of his work (wall paper and paint) is top shelf. You can?t go wrong with Don!

Everything went very well! Don helped us with his good advice. The job was done in one week as stated. The work was done by Don, himself with assistance from his partner on one day. Outstanding! Don was professional, courteous, and friendly. I am blown away by the quality of his work. He installed a striped wallpaper pattern perfectly. I literally can't even find the seams. Don did an excellent job. It was a big task with a lot of details and he executed it with total professionalism. He was very friendly and warm. He and an associate did some extra dry wall patching in our house which was also done very well. We are extremely pleased with the work done by Up Against The Wall and would absolutely use Don again in the future.

I researched Angie's List for a wallpaper hanging company, and found Don. He did a great job! The walls look perfect--the rooms are transformed! He is talented, professional, and kind. My schedule was difficult to work around, but he made it happen. I would definitely hire him again, and have recommended him to my family and friends, including an interior designer and master builder.

Don prepped a sad wall in my great room and artfully brought it to life with wallpaper. That wall is now stately looking rather than an eyesore. Next, he painted my kitchen, bringing it back to life also. Finally, Don painted my very tired, red brick fireplace and mantel and 2 large columns. I'm so pleased with the end results as is my husband. I've already requested Don to return when his schedule has an opening. For those of you who get an estimate from Don, I have to stay he's worth the wait; you'll be so glad you did!

I should have completed this review months ago, but only realized I had not done it when I decided to call the company about another job. We moved into a house with very dark lighting in the powder room (and taupe gray paint on the walls). When the light was replaced and the room finally had sufficient lighting, we saw that all four walls had bubbles all over them. It was damage from a plumbing issue that was fixed by the seller. Apparently the walls were not fixed when the other repairs were done (or the problem was from a different owner). My handyman suggested we have the walls re-mudded which required a couple of coats and sanding and that was not a good option for me. I called Don for a quote and hired him to do the work. He could not come as scheduled due to the ice storm that shut the city down at that time. He got here only a few days later and did the job in a few hours. The wallpaper looks amazing and several people have commented about how nice it looks. You'd never know of the damage under the paper even though it's really bad because Don did such a fantastic job! We're planning to have him wallpaper the foyer ceiling and the office panel boxes as well. Don has experience with the very heavy imported paper from Europe that many installers have no idea how to hang. Hands down he's the best for wallpaper installation in the ATL!!! I would give the rating of A+++ if it was an option.
