Visited the store and examined various storm doors, searching for the model we preferred, based upon a previous search. Located it and the representative, Stephen provided all details and benefits of the door. Printed everything and the warranty as well. We were advised that since it was the Memorial Day holiday weekend the installer would contact us later in the week. There was no problem as a holiday schedule is understandable. The installer, Mike, called on Tuesday after Memorial Day to advise he would visit that afternoon to install the storm door. He did appear in the afternoon and worked on the door, completing the installation. The quality of the work was truly outstanding. The new door is attractive and quite effective. We highly recommend Lowe's and the installer.

The windows were installed and it was good. I went to the shower department. He was busy and called me back. He told me they don’t do stuff like that. Their minimum order is $10,000. We ordered windows and garage doors and paid up front. They send someone out the verify installation. A month goes by, the installed showed up on a Friday morning. He is hot because the basement wasn’t cleared out. He told me if it wasn’t cleared in 20 minutes he was leaving. I called Lowes and they gave me an excuse of they use a certain team of installers. I contacted 3 other installers and they said there shouldn’t have been a problem. The installer took my garage doors and I paid for them. The store manager came out and then in the end gave me my money back.

As noted above I purchased a product that may be exclusive to Lowe's. It's called STONEHOUSE SURFACES. When I saw the water being absorbed I went to the Lowe's where i purchased it and asked if that was normal. The gentleman in the bathroom area called the company Stonehouse Surfaces and was told that my countertop had been sealed. I was told to take a picture of the countertop staining and e-mail it to them, since the company did not have inspectors to inspect the counter top. I took a digital camera picture of the unstained and then the water absorbed stain area. The water absorption lasts about an hour. I went to Lowe's and Neal in the bathroom area called the company and the company insisted no action could be taken unless the pictures were e-mailed. Neal used his cellphone to take a picture of my camera pictures and e-mailed them to the company. The company gentleman said the company would review them and get back to Lowe's and then Lowe's would get back to me. I returned to Lowe's about a week ;ater and Lowe's still hadn't heard from Stonehouse Surfaces, so Rick called the company who still had no answer. Around 9/30/10 I went back to Lowe's and Neal called the company who stated to Neal that Stonehouse Surfaces would send me a bottle of granite top sealant. After not receiving the sealant by 10/10/10 I went to Lowe's to purchase a bottle of granite top sealant. Today I have started the process of applyinfg the sealant and have never heard from Stonehouse Surfaces about their product which Lowe's continues to sell. I feel future customers should be warned of the potential problem with this product and the difficulty with having it resolved.

When ordering the doors I asked specifically about door bottoms (since my floor is uneven) and reinforcing for door openers. I ordered with the understanding the salesman would get back with me on these items if they were needed. The installer came out and did a great job installing the doors. When I asked him about the door bottoms and reinforcing, he said they do it all the time, but he didn't have any available, since it wasn't part of the order. That seemed OK, since I was sure Lowe's would make it right or send someone back out to add these in. Unfortunately, I've been calling the store for three months and haven't gotten an answer on these two items. Would have been a perfect job except for the lack of responsiveness before (when I asked for confirmation of options) and after the work had been done.
