FILO Painting provided a reasonable price and were very thorough. I had a minor issue (with paint fade), they came right back the next day and repainted the whole wall. Very professional and easy to work with, I highly recommend.

The crew was amazing. They worked well together and if I had a question the crew leader was very responsive. The office returned my calls promptly. When they found other trouble areas that were not on the scope of work they discussed it with me before fixing it. The original estimate listed everything that was visible to the estimator. He was very thorough and after creating an estimate for the additional areas He was again very precise on the repair costs. I didn’t choose to repair all of it at this time but I will have them back at a later time.

The crew showed up on time everyday. I was very impressed with their attention to detail and prep work. The painting and cleanup was fantastic. I'm very happy with their work and would highly recommend.

Our initial experience with Fillo was excellent and after a few walk-throughs and going over details, we felt confident the company would live up to the quality and attention to detail they advertise. We even referred them to two of our neighbors prior to our project being started. On the first day of their arrival one of the owners and a crew showed up. It was then that are hopes of a good job started to diminish. The owner had no paperwork in hand and immediately started asking questions about what was going to be painted inside the house. This was alarming as we had been over the details more than once. We walked around the house and pointed out some particulars, one being a Poplar wooded Shiplap accent wall in the dining area that would NOT get touched. DO NOT PAINT. He asked how many coats of paint we were getting on the ceilings... “Our salesman suggested only one coat should be required so that was put on the contract”, during the previous walk through will another owner and our project manager this was also discussed, and I told the owner this. He said it needs two coats because one would bleed through as we were changing the color. A change order to our contract had to be done to reflect another coat which added an additional $682.50 to the costs. The work outside was started first and seemed to go pretty well. The crew was very hard-working but the communication was very awkward throughout the whole project as they spoke little to no English. One afternoon I noticed it was getting very hot in the house. I didn’t think much about it at first, but it became worse, so I checked the vents and felt warm air seeping out. I quickly went outside to find both units running, but they were wrapped in plastic! It had been like this for over 4 hours. We received alerts on our phones; There was a problem with the Cooling System for both units. For the past 4 hours the thermostats were calling for cool, but the room temperature continued to increase. We immediately notified the project manager and he said we could call an HVAC company to make sure it was ok and they would reimburse us and deduct the costs from the final invoice. HVAC company came and thankfully found no problems. We were charged $89.95 On the 2nd day of working inside the house, we came over to the dining area to find they had patched and primed all the knots and natural details on the shiplap and were ready to paint it! We told them to stop and asked why they were doing this, and they insisted no one told them NOT to paint that wall. The previous day, the Project Manager told us that they would be covering that entire wall with plastic before they paint the ceiling. We were called by the owner, and he told us they were doing something good for the customer, but it was not and we told him the wall needed to be repaired to original state or replace. They brought in some solution (like paint remover) and started to scrub the filler and primer off, but of course this made it 10x worse and the house reeked of chemicals for days! We asked them to do nothing else with the wall and that we would address it with the project manager. On the final day, the crew was finishing up but still had much to do. Just a couple of hours after they started, we got an invoice from Fillo asking for a prompt payment. We called the office and asked why we were getting the invoice before the completion of the job and were told “the crew is SUPPOSED to finish today so we wanted to make sure you had the invoice so you can pay today without a final walk through or signoff”. We told them we will do a walk through with the project manager and there was much that needed to be discussed before we would be paying for any work. Notably the shiplap wall they virtually ruined. After the crew left, we did a walk around and found multiple discrepancies including exterior facia, soffit and Corine boards were not prepped correctly and paint was bubbling, interior trim, crown molding and baseboard was only spot painted uneven lines where the wall meets the ceiling and baseboards, paint drippings on the roof in areas where they had to paint facial board, etc. Also had numerous spots on the patio where it looks like the workers had walked over the patio with a dripping brush in hand. Oil stain on the driveway from the truck they had parked in the driveway when we told them more than once NOT TO! Apparently 3 of the painters were inexperienced for interior work and they were told by the owners to get the job done quick. We met with the Project manager to show him all the discrepancies and he agreed that this was not the quality of work Fillo accepts and will have everything corrected. The project manager looked at the wall and said they should have called him not the owner. He said he would have a professional wood craftsman come out to repair it. Instead, they requested to try painting the accent wall with the same type of paint/stain and technique that the builder had used and that information was provided to them. They weren’t understanding the technique they were to use (white washing with a rag) due to the language barrier and they started to roll the paint on the shiplap and going around the knots creating square imprints. We told them to stop and leave it. The other discrepancies were corrected by the two head painters. We meet again with our project manager he saw the wall. We asked how this could possibly have happened when there were multiple walk-throughs and even on the day, they started we told the owner “Do Not Touch that Wall”! He apologized and said he would discuss replacing the wall with his boss. He got with his boss, a second owner (the son) and he called us trying to smooth things over and come to some conclusion.The conversation became heated, and after several minutes of getting nowhere, we asked to have the wall completely re-done. The son said he would get back to us but asked that we pay on some of the work. We insisted nothing would be paid until we were satisfied completely. He said he really needed the money so he could pay his workers! We could not believe such a notion would come out of his mouth! Why were we suddenly responsible for ensuring their crew got paid? We were told they were not contracted out and worked directly for Fillo, but we became skeptical about this. Nonetheless, after back and forth about the wall, the son came back and said he was not going to have the wall redone but he would give us a $1000 credit off of the invoice. We reluctantly agree to a $1,500 discount (original cost of wall was $2500). They sent us an edited invoice removing the $89.95 for the HVAC. We requested the $89.95 be credited as well. The son called and became rude and even combative saying we are taking money from their workers and we should not be asking for anything and they will not be doing any further business with us including honoring their warranty. He also stated he was in his rights to file a lien on our home because we were way past due on payment even though the job was not 100% completed and we just received the invoice. He said he would revise the invoice and will be sending his painter to pick up payment and to note that we would not want him to be the one to come to our house and hung up. No one showed up to pick up payment and the next day we mailed payment to their office.

This company y did great work and the crew was awesome.

Fillo Painting did an excellent job this month repainting the exterior of my house. They arrived on time and did the work that was outlined in the contract. I met with the estimator and everything was put in the contract. The contract was detailed and clear and communicated and signed electronically. There was some bad siding that was discovered by the team as they were painting. The fair estimate for this was quickly done and sent to me for review and approval, and that work was completed. Communication was very good. The team worked well together. I’d hire them for other work or to repaint in the future.

Filo Painting refuses to alter their warranty. We had a home inspection done and every window and the columns in our home or not properly caulked therefore it can lead to water intrusion and wood rot. The Dale from follow Painting has been given and paid inspection report and he is denying that anything is wrong. The report clearly states that it was improper caulking and that it can cause water intrusion and wood rot. Our home was just painted in May and this should not be the case at this point right now. When presented with the problems that they have they offered $200 to fix it when it could run us up to thousands of dollars to replace wood and repair the damage they’ve caused while we are under warranty with them. Fidel went on to name calling suggesting I was crazy when the report is clear. They are refusing to honor their warranty. They returned a $2000 door by removing the stain down to the bare because they put a painter on there that not only did not know how to speak English but he did not know what he was doing. The door is returned and it will cost us up to $600 to get it fixed and they refused to fix it. This has been a horrible experience in my suggestion would be to not use Filo painting for anything since they won’t honor their work

Met with Fillo 4 times.....we were not able to get a sample or a true answer on how the stain would look. The guy who was managing the project was really nice just lacking knowledge and experience. This was a large job.....$23,000.00. So after the 4 meetings we were told look you pick a color off the color wheel and we will put it on the house. Before we were told that they wanted to add $2200 to the estimate to paint the brick....estimate said complete exterior paint. After the 4th meeting and still no headway we told them to gather their things and get off the job. They had done a little caulking, met with us 4 times, and pressure washed. I told them I would pay for that....I get a bill 2 weeks later for $1,650....I called for a breakdown and was told the bill is what it is....so we reached out to Verge....one meeting, several recommendations and started that week. Right around same price. I offered Fillo $650 for the pressure washing and prep work....got a lien put on my house. That’s a true story.

I liked how detailed the estimate was. We are scheduling the work with them.

Exterior paint job and exterior carpentry/window repair

Broken patio furniture painted brick and an overall subpar paint job that was not worth the time to do it need to get a whole other crew to repair and fix their mistakes do mot usr this company they will not help you if the job is not satisfactory and will argue with you about how good a job was done buyer beware. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON A COMPANY NOT WILLING. TO STAND BY THEIR WORK OR FIX MISTAKES.

Excellent Job. Everything from the initial sales engagement through the final walk through. I had the exterior of my house painted. In 95 degree heat I might add. The painters never complained, never really rested on the job. Complete professionals. The manager (Sara) came by several times to inspect the quality of work. She even caught a few oversights that I did see. But the kicker was, I had removed a few decorative items from the outside walls and garage in order from them to paint. I didn't expect them to remove these types of items. But on the last day, I started the walk around and noted they had REPLACED and REINSTALLED all the items and garage hardware. It blew me away. Lastly, the price for the job was very fair and competitive. Not the lowest price (I didn't want a cheap job), but not as high as a few of the marketing companies mask as painting companies. On that front, I would suggest you ask questions about the contractors’ relationships, who owns the company. Several of the painting companies were merely 5 guys in an office that advertise nationwide, but then have a commission sales rep quote the job, who then hands the job to a contractor (not employed by the company). Clearly too many hands in the pie. Fillo Painting is a family run business, I value that type of ownership. They did exactly what they said they would do plus more. Highly recommend.

They were responsive and did excellent work. I think it is the best painting of this porch that we have ever had done.

I was in need of having my exterior house and deck painted, also gutters replaced. Being I was using Angie's List I had sent out requests to several companies. Some did not respond, some came for a sight walk and didn't send a quote afterwards, and some responded fully. Fillo sent Jeff out whom has years of experience, Fillo's quote was very competitive and I chose them. Fillo's communication was excellent from the office as to what they would do when, even when the rain had to put it off a couple days. The crew whom was led by Oscar, did an excellent job! Oscar was outstanding with communicating with me at my home. The crew had great attention to detail, they had a lot to scrape and spent the necessary time to do so. Prep work is a big part of the job and they did as good as I would have myself. The painting was great detail, and Oscar made sure to do a detail walk through with me. The gutter crew did a great job as well. I had a prior problem with one drain pipe running off on a sidewalk that I had noted in the contract, they came up with a professional looking solution. I have painted a couple houses and done gutters in my younger years, and I am very critical of work being done for me. You can rarely find a team that gives you this service. Thank you Oscar and your crew, I was really impressed. I would definitely recommend Fillo Painting to a friend.

Great job! Lot's of bad weather to work around but they kept coming back and worked in poor conditions for several days. Unlike other painting companies that send a lot of people to knock the job out quick, Fillo sent a small crew and I think this added attention to detail and the quality of work done. I recommend this company.

Fillo, was punctual and very accommodating to all my requests. The customer service is exceptional. A lot of times we as customers have many questions... Fillo always made me feel as though all my questions were important and they were happy to help. I have called on Fillo to do several jobs for me - my exterior house painting, roof and now my interior house painting. My next home improvement will be to have all my gutters replaced and I will be calling on Fillo! I highly recommend this company.

Over priced! Subcontractors used for work. Sloppy caulking. Owner lied about who he was to my face. I was asking g for more quotes, that I never got for painting the interior and exterior of a 5000 square foot house. The ownersaid he needed to talk the owner. This is a father and some team who uses low priced subcintractors to perform the work on a per job basis. Attempted to charge me for work not done. Once only deduction was for material not labor. Then labor was less than he would typically charge. Basically he attempted to gouge me at every turn to make a profit for himself without any regard to the homeowner. Use Heber Lopez if you want quality, affordability, and honesty.

It was all very quality work. There was very much an attention to detail. I had some areas with old and rotted exterior trim. It was replaced within the specified time and the final product look great. I would definitely use this company for future work. I also had the front of my house power washed. Its a stucco front. Again the final product looked great.

The team arrived on time and completed the job beyond my expectations. The entire process was seamless and professional. We recently purchased the home and every room was painted a different color. There were deep golds, green and brown which made the house seem small and underwhelming. Fillo did an excellent job in painting over the walls and now our new home feels much more open and bright. We have really high ceilings which made DIY out of the question. I am so glad we contracted with Fillo and we will be hiring them again for our next project. The pricing was much lower than previous quotes for the amount of work they had to do. Thank you Fillo for doing such an amazing job!
