Drywall Repair & Interior Painting

This provider was very responsive, returning my initial phone call within a few hours and immediately scheduling an appointment for an estimate. They arrived for the appointment on-time and were very professional but the quote was double that of other quotes that I received for the same work. I suspect that the job was too small for this contractor as his quote for a bigger job was more reasonable, still a bit inflated but closer to other quotes.

It went beautifully and I will definitely hire them again! They were painting a light beige over a deep, dark purple, so they had to prime the walls and then paint the color. The window trim was long and tedious, but they did a great job. They were extremely professional! Anna and Jose make a terrific team - she is great at communicating expectations. They arrived the day of the works and covered everything with protective plastic. They were very detail-oriented with all of the molding - paying very close attention to even correct some problems that the previous painter (from years ago) had not done so well. All while being very nice, quick, organized and clean! I would highly recommend them!

JC Marin Drywall Repair and Interior Painting did an excellent job with the work. They took precautions to limit the dust with plastic curtains and vacuum machines. They were very courteous and worked steadily on a large job. The cost was the lowest of qualified bidders for this project.

Jose and Anna were both very professional. Arrived on time and ready to work. They are a great team and highly personable. The workmanship is exceptional. I have had three other contractors repair my stipled ceilings. In all cases, the workmanship was poor and there was an obvious difference between the repair area and existing drywall. Jose's workmanship was so good that you cannot see where the drywall was replaced. EXCELLENT! My ceilings are beautiful again!!!! Bringing them back to repair drywall in garage and upstairs bathrooms. They cost a little more than others but the quality of the workmanship is excellent!

These people are really really good. You will not see the sheetrock seams when they are done. They are reasonable, dependable and trustworthy.

Jose and Ana were true professionals from the start. They came and gave a thorough, fair estimate which was itemized and detailed. They completed the entire job within a working day covering drywall, paint and the meticulous detail given to frames, windows, wall and floor boards. ,If you are like me and you are not very impressed with painting contractors who 1. take a week or more just to show up and give you an estimate..and then take another week to get back to you 2. have salesmen who visit you with classy, costly brochures ...as if painting is rocket science stuff 3. use painting terms which sound important...but which are standard or meaningless (?we use drop cloths"!) 4. Ask for a down payment ...then the Marin's (Jose and Maria) are the ones you need to try. They specialize in both painting AND sheetrock damage and repair..and they know what they are doing. If you want quality with simplicity...these are the folks you need to try. They are very easy to do business with No salesmen who are too busy to get back to you. No telling you that they are booked for the next 5 weeks ...just hard working folks...who show up promptly to give you an estimate..and then start work punctually AND ...with no hidden costs. The initial estimate is what you wind up paying. They came to my house the day after I initially contacted them. They looked over the work. Asked me many questions. Gave me an estimate on the spot. Booked me to start in a week and a half. And NEVER ONVE asked for money up front. Everyone else was looking for dough up front?which for a painting job where you intened to buy your own paint?is totally unprofessional. The neatness and attention to detail and to protecting the rest of your house is excellent...as is their daily cleanup and the final restoration of your house once work is completed. They suggested some paints and the number of gallons I would need...but they didn?t high-pressure me (like everyone else did) to select "Sherwin Williams"...which is very expensive and (according to Consumers) not the actually :best paint in the world...as if, if you use any top rated brand recommended by Consumers (Behr, Valspar) ...your house will not look equally good. I liked the idea of shopping for and picking out my own paint. And I am so tired of hearing that ?we get a special discount..if you go through us and allow us to buy the paint?. I bought my own paint?on sale at Lowes and Home Depot. You won?t be disappointed with Jose and Maria and their crew. And their prices are very competitive with the salesman with the fancy painting brochures..who never get back to you because they are ?So busy? UPDATE Dec 2104 We used the Marins again to repair our garage ceiling whcih had been damaged by a burst pipe. Again, a high quality job with no hassle. For painting and sheetrock work, I would select no one else It's the little things too...like how, before each job begins, just about anything else in the room gets wrapped in plastic. even the floor.

This guy makes more than a Doctor....I figure he wants $70/hr for sheetrock repair...unbelievable...

Jose and Anna were great! They came on time, left the work areas clean, and did an awesome job. I was very satisfied with the work and Jose threw in some extra's for us. They were pleasant, reliable, trustworthy, and professional. I will recommend them to anyone I know that needs painting and drywall repair.

Jose, Ana, and their assistant were excellent. They patched drywall around a skylight (can't tell where the old drywall stops and new drywall starts), and finished some drywall touch-ups in a bathroom we had recently renovated. Also painted the bathroom, baseboards, and short basement hallway, and the skylight. They were on time, put down drop cloths everywhere they walked, prepped well with tape, and the paint job is great (no roller lines or brush lines). I think it took them a lot longer than they anticipated due to the flat paint I chose, but they did not complain or ask for more money. Will definitely use again, if needed. Very nice folks.

I'm remodeling my master bathroom and ripped the old one out down to the studs. I needed a sheetrock guy and the one recommended by the tile guy was three times the price quoted by Jose. He did such a wonderful job I also asked him to do the painting, and again he did a wonderful job. I'd use him again in a heartbeat.

Jose, Ana, and crew did a wonderful job. They were very professional and courteous. They painted all of my ceilings on 2 floors, and covered everything with plastic, very thorough prep work. They were able to finish the job in one day (1800 sq ft townhome). They fixed several drywall holes in my kitchen ceiling where lights had been removed and holes in the wall from tv mounts, did an excellent job - that says a lot coming from a detail oriented picky person like me! I don't have any negatives on this team....I hired them based on price and reviews here on Angie's list. I will call them first for future paint/drywall jobs. Ana was really enjoyable to talk to - we were discussing my kitchen cabinetry work I may have done in the future, and she gave me some design ideas. Overall, a great experience. Fantastic. Just as everyone else has described Ana and Jose are great. Fast. beautiful work and kept me up to date to entire way. I have an old home that has experienced a great deal of settling so many ceilings and walls are not exactly and quot;straightand quot; or and quot;leveland quot; . Even with the old walls Jose did a wonderful job making sure everything was straight and level. Great seams and straight lines. Good work. We have many rentals and Jose and Ana are the best drywall and painting people I have ever worked with. I saw their reviews on Angie's List and used them for my own home. I was very pleased with their work. I will be using them for all my future drywall and interior painting needs. You will enjoy working with them.

Jose and Ana are great. They came right out, gave we a quote and we discussed the work that needed to be done and the tight time line that we were on. They got started right away and had the job all finished in four days. Our plaster walls are almost a hundred years old and they look brand new. All of our friends and family are amazed at how they look and cant believe they aren't new walls.

They worked for a few hours, did job very well, cleaned up, answered all my questions and were very flexible when I asked to take care of one more spot I found after the estimate was made. Overall very well done.

They showed up on time and return all calls. They are very professional and respectful of my home. I had a color scheme consultation and it was very helpful. They were supportive of finding the colors for my home. They were friendly and neat when they cleaned up. I want to emphasize that they are very professional and friendly and are great to work with. This is the 2nd time we've used the Marins for drywall repair. Great job at a great price. We cannot recommend them enough.

Ana and Jose have a wonderful team and provide very professional high grade craftsmanship. I had called them to do work on a 94 year old home with Plaster Lathe ceilings. There were two large areas that had damage from a leak and moved closet wall. I got an estimate from them to repair the holes, patch all of the cracks in the ceilings and apply a light coat of new plaster on the ceilings leaving them ready for paint. I had set a date for the work to begin but had to postpone not once but twice because the leak had not been properly fixed by another service provider. Each time I called them to explain my dilemma, however Ana told me they treat each job like their own home and that I had to be sure the leak was fixed, they understood and would reschedule. Despite my own frustration at not being able to proceed, they were very calm about it, and were patient until I had the situation resolved. After these two delays, the work was finally undertaken and completed, and I was so impressed with the quality, that I am having them come back to do other rooms of the house as well! They also kept to the original Estimate that they quoted me, and cleaned up well after all of there work which by its nature can be messy. I found them trustworthy and respectful. I wholeheartedly recommend their services!
