Drywall Repair & Interior Painting

Could not of hoped and received a better quality of work that was provided by Jose, Ana, and another employee. While this was not a huge repair it was a very complicated one. First of all they put plastic on all the walls, floor, furniture, and built a double barrier between the family room (where the water damage occurred) and the breakfast rm and kitchen and another barrier between the family rm and the foyer, living rm, and dining rm. Removing the sheet rock from the space between the ceiling studs and the 6 inch crown molding took a lot of skill as well as installing new sheet rock in the same space. Why are so happy with their work: 1) As we all know working with sheet rock creates a lot of dust and junk which it did. After clean up, there was not a spec of dust on anything in the family room and none escaped to other adjoining rooms, 2) All the sheet rock work work was perfect, 3) the painting was first rate, 4) and all items were restored to their proper position. They made some serious damage "look like nothing ever happened". If u have sheet rock work or painting, I would strongly recommend Jose and Ana. They are certainly on our list when we need their expertise to perform the work. This is the type of quality work u get when u hire people that have been doing this type of work over 25 years. Finding this company on Angie's list was well worth the annual fee.

Couldn't have asked for more. Jose gave a comprehensive review and quote. We scheduled work for several weeks later. Although I was out of town, my wife was home and had no issues at all. They handled making sure everything was properly moved and out-of-the-way as prep for the work on 4 ceilings in our home. These were by no means small rooms, so the whole ceiling had to be repainted, which they handled with no problem. I was the fortunate one to come home, after the 2-day project to perfect ceilings for a price that was a bargain when compared to the effort/work one would have to do themselves. I would most certainly NOT HESITATE to call Jose and his team again, should I be in the market for his services.

Jose and his team are first rate. They came when they said they would, did what they said they'd do, and the quality of work is fantastic. I dealt with so many flaky contractors about this job and Jose was a breath of fresh air. Flawless drywall and paint - highly recommended!

The work was great no problems. The only thing I would add is that there was a lot of residue from the sanding left all over the room (window sill, closet, shelves etc.) Good quality of work

Jose and Anna came to my home and reviewed the work to be done in a very professional, courteous, and friendly manner. They offered suggestions and took the time to understand the scope. Their work was part of a larger project and as a result of some of the other project work, their scope had to change. They came out again and gave me a revised quote for the new work which was just a modest increase. All the details were coordinated and thought through. So once the work began everything went very smoothly. Jose and his helper went about the work in at a great pace with minimum impact on our home and home life. Preparation began with protecting the area with walk path tarps and clear plastic over areas that might get dust. Some studs needed to go in first and they were installed very accurately despite the somewhat awkward position of some of the locations. Then the drywall was put up and it was neat and clean. Once the painting was done, the walls looked perfect. A beautiful finish to a job very well done. They did a fantastic job at a great price!

I was very impressed the level of care Anna took to protect our home. The used drop cloths everywhere, not only where work was being performed but all routes through the house to access the repair areas. They attached plastic to cover carpeting, furniture, and catch the dust. They did great work. The repairs were challenging and they did a super job, you can't tell it was patched which is the whole idea. Looks like new. They vacuumed, cleaned up, replaced furniture and disposed of all trash. They had all the right equipment to do the job right. They had stilts, vacuums, heaters (cause it was cold and the mud needed to dry). First day there were 5 workers, 2nd day there were 3. I just can't say enough. I highly recommend them for your drywall needs. I am confident you will be pleased with them.

They did an excellent job. They were ahead of schedule and very professional. I highly recommend them for any work in their field. Ana and Jose are wonderful people with extensive knowledge. They took out time and explained everything to us. They delivered superb customer service and skill.

The week of Dec. 8, 2014, we had our downstairs repainted, walls and trim. There was a color change on both, and a lot of work to be done; however, we paid the asking price (plus materials) which was in line with the other estimates. The quality of work performed was fair; however, the thoroughness was incomplete, by far. We were asked to get one gallon of primer tinted the color of the trim and one gallon of trim paint. Upon completion Jose advised that there would be touch ups, little things, however, there are many pieces of trim, including the entire baseboard throughout the downstairs that never received the final coat, only the primer. My husband, who took this week off from work, pointed this out before they departed and were told by Jose that it was just the way the light was hitting the trim that made it look incomplete. It has been almost a month now and I have seen this trim in every light possible, also, I have had several people look at the trim and they too agree that many pieces are lacking the final coat. I emailed Jose about doing the touch ups and was told they could come the next Tuesday; I advised that we could not take any more time off from work, I am home on Fridays and please advise the next Friday they could come (I still have all 16 original emails) . I was told they would call on Dec. 17th; I have not heard from them and they will not respond to my emails. Never again will I go with an individual; there is no guarantee and we have no recourse.

Overall, excellent. they taped sheet plastic on all floors and also attached sheet plastic to all the walls, around all light fixtures as well. They removed about 1/2 a sheet of drywall that was damaged and installed a replacement piece, using good practice. Screws plus the tape for the seams. they also repaired the caulk at the ceiling interface and along the crown moulding where some additional water stains were found. the surface appearance of the seams and the repair section was so well done, it almost looked like it didnt need to be sanded. a real craftsman. Since we couldnt match the ceiling paint and i didnt have any on hand, they purchased a new can of ceiling white and painted entire ceiling, cutting in a the crown moulding for the entire room. They also painted the crown where the repairs were done using some white enamel i did have on hand. It took a day or two to dry, and now you cannot tell there was even a repair done. NICE JOB!

Jose and Ana are great to work with. I had used them before about 3 years ago on another property which also had considerable drywall damage and I was very impressed with their speed and quality of work. As a result, I knew if I had another similar project that I would use them again, and so I did in this latest house renovation that I had undertaken. They are very punctual, professional, friendly, and fast! Their work is of a very high quality and I would recommend them to anyone needing quality drywall repair. Thank you both SOOOO much!

Jose and Ana Marin work hand in hand. From the moment I contacted them I was impressed with their work ethic. I wanted a company who would paint and make drywall repairs - not a company who did that AND cleaned decks, windows, landscaped, etc! The estimate was extremely reasonable considering the work that needed to be done. The rooms had not been painted in over 12 years and I knew the walls would suck up the paint. Ana was the main contact and she kept me informed every step of the way. She made it easy to have the work fit into our schedule. Jose and his crew showed up on the scheduled date and were friendly, professional and clean. Before painting began, they wrapped or covered or moved anything that needed protection. It was necessary to do a lot of sanding, patching, skimming and priming. All of it was done quickly and neatly. Considering the work they had to do, they completed the job in a timely manner. I did have to call them back for some very minor touch-up. Jose returned quickly and finished his work. We are extremely happy with the work done and recommend them to others.

They were very professional, and handled each process with knowledge of what was needed. They fully covered and tarped our furniture and floors. They vacuumed up the dust from sanding and vacuumed behind heavy furniture before they put it back in place. All of the crew were very nice and respectful. They were very pleasant to have in our home, and I felt comfortable leaving them alone to finish the work. Each day they arrived when they said they would be here, and worked hard all day. One of the rooms color match paint was a very poor match. They called us to alert us to inspect the color and get more paint if we'd like. They repainted the room with the second better match paint and did not charge us for the additional work. I realized they could have completed that room with the wrong color and not taken the time to be sure we were happy with the color and result. It was that kind of interest in completing the job in the best possible way that we very much appreciated. We will definitely use them again.

I found the Marins on this site and called to speak about the project. I spoke with Ms. Anna and she was very informative. We scheduled a meeting to review the work that needed to be done and i received an estimate on the spot. It was a fair price and we scheduled the date. Ceasar arrived on time and prepared. He covered his path to the bathroom and took care to keep the dust contained to the bathroom. He did a fantastic job, the drywall repair was flawless and the paint job was great. He completed the job in one day and we could not be happier!

Great work. Everything was covered with plastic before the crew began, including the floors. There was a lot of sanding to be done so they also covered all open doorways to cut down on the amount of dust drifting. Cleanup was done afterward with a shop vac and everything put back in place. Their work is really good and their prices are reasonable. This is the second time we have used Jose Marin and I feel sure we will be using their services again in the future.

Came out to establish basis for estimate but never responded with an estimate. I called and sent e:mails several times. I received promises of when the estimate would be sent - several times. They never followed through. They were very nice people and I really wanted to do business with them. There may have been extenuating circumstances but they could have at least told me. I waited almost 3 weeks on them.

It went wonderfully! I love working with Jose and Anna and their great crew! They have worked with us to transform our house. Everyone one of the crew is polite, friendly, funny and professional! Jose is a perfectionist and my house reflects it! Love working with them and will continue to use and recommend them to friends!

We can't say enough good things about JC Marin Drywall Repair and Interior Painting. Jose and his wife, Ana, arrived on time to provide an estimate. They talked through the project with us and gave us a few options to consider. Their estimate was very reasonable and the fact that Jose would be onsite and would actually be part of the work crew was very important to us. Jose and his team worked nearly 2 full days at our house and the results are terrific. They cleaned up completely and we couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience. We will definitely work with JC Marin again.

We were very pleased. They just did a really good job and did what they said they said they were going to do and looks great.

I was very pleased with their work. After a couple of months the cracks were there again so I called them and they came back and fixed it. The price were reasonable. I would use them again in the future.
