He did touch up an area is that he did he use the same brush that he used for the trim which left shiny areas on my wall. We agreed that he would not paint my doors then HE chose not to pay other areas such as underneath my banister, he did not paint the window over my door ,he did not paint the trim down my stairway ,he did not paint the stair rail. There is paint that had dripped all down my sliding glass doors that they did not clean off. There's areas on my carpet where they dripped paint and did not bother to tell me and clean it up so now I have stains on my carpet. I have decorative corner pieces and my doorway into my dining room one got painted the other did not. When I reached out to them by email and by messages I never received a response or an offer of compensation. When I disputed with my credit card company he did contact them and lie to them. I would never recommend this company.

Description of Work: Chris is the most dishonest contractor we've ever encountered. On the first day of accepting the job, and we paid him $2500 upfront, he decided he would go on vacation to Florida. The following week, he started working on renovating our master bathroom. Initially he promised to have it completed within 2 weeks. It took over 4 weeks. The work he sub-contracted to other parties was rushed and the craftsmanship was terrible. A month after he had tiles laid down, they started cracking and the grout started chipping away. The bathtub he installed, squeaks and doesn't feel very stable. At every stage during the project, he kept asking for more money and balked after being asked for receipts. I stated that normally projects like this are paid after completion, but he stated he could not continue any further unless he had more funds. Not one day after the first did he or his people show up on time or the time he stated he would be there. Very often we had to put off our own plans because they were never on time. We had only problems after problems dealing with Chris and we would never offer his services to our worst enemy. He and his people waste time, money and energy on a project that was poorly planned on his behalf from the very beginning. After he received the money for services, he completely neglected any problems we encountered afterwards. Towards the end of the project, we had him install some lighting in the master bathroom, in which he managed to install crooked. However, as crooked as those lights are sitting, they still aren't as crooked as Chris! | |Here is a list of some of the issues we've had through Chris. | |1. Here is an example typical day through Chris. |a. Arrives 9ish, usually between 9:10-9:30 AM ET. |In this time, nothing other than 2 rows will have been added to the wall. |b. Will come up with something that he needs to go to the store (Home Depot, or ...) this could be around 10:30ish. |c. Leaves for about an hour. (Granted this has only happened on a few occasions, but this is a loss of work momentum.) |d. 12ish - 12:20 PM ET - 12:30 PM ET will leave for lunch, comes back after 2:00 PM ET. |e. Works until 4:30 and then leaves. Almost 2 hour lunch breaks?!?! |2. Another Example is that on 3/6/2015, he installed water room tile and then left, this was only a half days work. Even if he had just installed tile, he could have still got to work on the wall tiles for the shower area. |3. And yet another example of wasted time, is that the water proofing paint, could have been painted on and left to dry, once the backer board was up. This led to the delay mentioned in point 2. |4. Left almost a whole bucket of mortar in a can, provides to waste. If he didn't need the mortar why did he mix up so much? | |In the end, we found out later through other people that worked on this project, that Chris had this sort of work ethic. We kept trying to contact Chris to fix the problems we had with his work to no avail. He has constantly ditched the calls or completely avoided them altogether. The best advice I can give anyone reading this post is to avoid Chris and his home-wrecking services totally.

Description of Work: Painted and redid bathrooms. Wasn't responsive when emailed or called and wouldn't show up when he told us he would. Paint in one bathroom is streaking when shower is used and never would call back about the problem. Just very unreliable.

Chris? Painting & Home Repair is a highly unethical small business and Chris the owner should be ashamed of himself. He and his employees / day worker contractors damaged my property and abandoned the job after I had stupidly trusted him and paid him in full. Chris will give a rebuttal, saying I am 'picky', while he was paid room-by-room in full via cash and via PayPal credit card, and there are rooms and areas that his compnay never even touched. They were paid in full and never returned. Chris saw our job as a quick way to make some money, and promised me that he would be onsite. He never lifted a paint brush. Instead, he subcontracted the job to low-quality workers who slopped paint on wood that had never been painted before, and also broke brand new bathroom lighting, and splattered paint all over our brand new $20,000 hardwood floors throughout the house. His workers could not be bothered to put a tarp down. They were rushing and had total disregard for my home. Also, Chris constantly mislead us, saying that he (his employee and sub-contractors) would come back, and they never did. This was over the Winter Holidays, and they would not come back to paint for days and weeks at a time. They left 10 cans of paint in my living room, ladders, lights. In the middle of the floor. We could not put up a tree for Christmas, waiting for them to return to our home and finish the job. They were hired on November 19th, 2013 and they painted about 4 days total, returning for the last time December 10th 2013. We emailed, called and texted Chris constantly to return to finish the job, and to do a better quality. The interior painting was not finished and I have since had to hire another company to come in and basically start over, and sand down most of their shoddy, lumpy and bumpy paint job. Chris' cheap crew left spackle patches on windows in the Kitchen, Family, Dining and Office areas. They left cracks in doors and they did not caulk before painting in the Kitchen. They left many areas unfinished. They were paid to sand wooden stairs leading to the 2nd floor of the house, and they never sanded before painting. His key employee scratched razor blade scratches on all windows of $600 brand new French Doors of the Office - they are now unrepairable. They never sanded and never took any care in the work, as they were paid in full to do. There are missed areas on trim, unpainted, in every room mentioned above . There are large, obvious drips and sagging paint on trim in foyer and Office. My advice is to not give this company your hard-earned money. I intend to pursue a full refund, plus damages, via every legal means possible.
Description of Work: Was hired to paint my new home's interior before we moved in, and before hardwood floors and carpet were installed.

It was an excellent experience. He was knowledgeable and able to take care of what needed to be done. The price was very competitive and well worth it. He was certainly looking out for us and made sure we were getting the best deal possible. It was a very positive experience. We are still waiting for him to come and finish a couple of small things for us but that is the nature of this business.
Description of Work: We used Chris's Painting and Home Repair for kitchen remodeling services. He took care of some exterior things, reglazing and replaced siding on one side of our house.

He subcontracts the work, so be prepared to have work done on their schedule. The/crew do not show up when suppose to. Work began weeks late. Unfinished and took months to track him down to complete job. He never completed second contract we had with him. After we had this experience, we heard many other 'horror stories'. He came highly recommended, but later they recanted. Never again.
Description of Work: Pressure wash house, caulk as needed, prime any bare wood, replace trim and siding on 2 dormers, replace 2 rows siding one exterior wall of house, paint all siding, trim, gutters, windows, doors.
