+ -1 moreCastleberry was very knowledgable, thourough and would beat any competitor price. The quote was in the ballpark of another finalist for shutters but we felt comfortable with going with them. They were able to install them earlier than estimated and they are amazing.
Description of Work: We were building a new house and needed window coverings. We liked shutters but knew the costs could be a lot. We spoke to all of the top local companies as well as a large online option.

Description of Work: Tim Castleberry is AMAZING!!! We got 4 bids for blinds in our house but because of Tim's demeanor and his professionalism, we decided to go with his company. He came by 3 different times and every single time he arrived EXACTLY on time, was extremely friendly and always happy! It was so pleasant to deal with him. He also really knows his stuff since he has been doing this business since he was a teenager. He hung our blinds, and they were beautiful and work perfectly! We also liked the first company that we called but the salesman was from a big national company. Tim quoted us about the same price as the first company. What we also liked about Castleberry Shutters is that it is a family run business and the blinds are also made in GA by another family run business. Why not keep our Atlanta dollars here in GA rather than sending our money out of state ( or worse yet out of the country)! |Thank you again Tim for being so TERRIFIC!!!

+ -1 moreNot only has quality gone down hill but service too. Will not be calling again in the future and certainly can't recommend them to anyone else. Save yourself some frustration and call another company, price is similar to the other companies and quality and service are much better.
Description of Work: Have used them for years and they are going down hill. Have had three batches of Plantation Shutters custom made and installed. Each time quality and attention to detail is getting worse. Called them again for a quote to finish entire home and it took Brian a week to call me back and when he arrived for appointment he acted like he could care less about the job.

+ -1 moreI used Castleberry last year to put plantation shutters on my bedroom and closet windows. I was so pleased that I called again to have them do the windows on my first floor. Johnny returned my call within 24hrs and made an appointment to come measure and give me an estimate. The price was very comparable to others on line and I got a discount for being an Angie's list member. Johnny told me it would be at least 8 weeks. It was actually 9, but worth the wait. The installers were prompt and very professional. They found one spot that wasn't perfect (I wouldn't have noticed it) and made an appt. to come back with a part and fix it. The shutters are exactly what I wanted and give the house a new look. I left one upstairs window off because I didn't think you could see it from the outside and didn't want to spend the money. I'll probably have them come back and do that window eventually. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Put plantation shutters on all my downstairs windows including bay windows in kitchen and doors leading to deck.

+ -1 moreIf I higher recommendation were possible, I'd give it. These guys absolutely bent over backwards for us. They did custom painted wood plantation shutters throughout my entire home. The estimate came in lower than, or equal to, other bids using the fake material. Plus, their work is guaranteed for life. When installation time came, they did the entire job and we saw that the color was off by just a little bit. The owner came out and agreed, it wasn't right. He re-did the entire job, quickly and at no cost to us! I was just amazed at that level of customer focus. Highly, highly recommend!

+ -1 moreVery professional. Owner came by to take measurements and provide on-site estimate. Once proposal was accepted, scheduling work for a date in the future was not a problem. Installation done at the exact date and time agreed upon a few weeks earlier on 14 windows and one door. Installation completed in one afternoon. Everything about this work was very professional, neat, and timely. Would highly recommend.

I give them a "C" for personality but the finished product is EXCELLENT!! My wife and I love the shutters and they look great in and outside the house. Several of my neighbors gave me compliments just from looking at my house from the road. Very expensive but worth it!

+ -1 moreTim Castleberry came to our home and measured for ten (10) new white Plantation Shutters. We received a quote on the day of the measurements and signed a contract. Tim stated the shutters would be ready for installation on a certain date and some three days before the scheduled date, we received a call that the shutters were ready for installation. Several days later they arrived at our home and within one and one-half hours our Plantation Shutters were installed. GREAT JOB!! They look beauthful and we are very proud that we used Castleberry Shutters.

+ -1 moreI sent a gracious email and canceled an appointment with this contractor with 36 hours notice. We had made the decision to to with another contractor simply because we met him, liked him, liked his work (and reviews) and liked his price. Tim Castleberry replied to my appointment-cancellation email by saying "You didn't even give me a chance" and seemed quite unprofessional. He asked several times who we were going with and why. He also said that he had planned to "surprise" us with a 20% discount at our Thursday appointment. He sent me the following about the "surprise discount": it was going to be a surprise your loss you've got three days to make your decision you can cancel the other order or tell him to hold on He may build beautiful shutters - I don't know. But I was not happy with the manner in which he communicated with me when we decided to use another contractor before meeting with him.
Description of Work: On Monday, I had scheduled an appointment for Thursday to get a quote but blinds and shutters. I cancelled the appointment on Tuesday evening after we made the decision to go with another contractor. I never met Mr. Castleberry. My issue is with his response to me canceling the appointment.

+ -1 moreI called for an appointment for pricing and a few days later Tim Castleberry arrived on time with samples and photos. He measured the windows and provided the full cost. He said production would take about five weeks, which it did. Gary and two other installers arrived on time and worked quickly and professionally. No mess was left behind and the shutters look beautiful. Everyone we dealt with was friendly from the first phone call through the installation. There is a lifetime warranty on the shutters.

It took awhile for them to install, approximately 4-6 weeks, but they are made on their property and the customize the color of the blinds to your trim. They guarantee repairs to the blinds if needed.

I already knew what I wanted because I had plantation shutters in my prior home. Tim was very personable and knowledgeable. I did get one more estimate from another vendor on Angie's list. I like him and his product as well - so I had to base it on price alone. Castleberry was $100 less. The installation was perfect. Very professional and punctual. I absolutely LOVE my shutters!

When I saw they were on Angie's List we called and to our surprise and delight Tim Castleberry arrived 15 minutes after we called to take measurements for wood plantation shutters in our living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The shutters were installed three weeks later and the price was very reasonable considering the high quality of the shutters. The color match was perfect and the installers were professional and considerate. I have already recommended them to family and plan to have them install shutters in the remainder of our home in the near future.
